Bookish Gifts for the Holidays

I love to surf around and find bookish things... I mean.. I just want these in my life!!!  So here is what I think would be cool bookish gifts for people and for yourself.  We all need these things in our lives!

I still love these Postertext prints... that feature an entire book on a poster!  I mean... please someone hang this in their house!  I have also seen at Litographs entire books on a tee-shirt. That's pretty amazing too!!

Do you or someone you know like to drink??  Well me too!  I recently learned about a book called Tequila Mockingbird by Tim Federle where the cocktail recipes in the book are based off of books!  With names like Last of Mojitos and Orange Julius Caesar.. plus there are recipes for non-drinkers too.

For another clever gift I think, is the quarterly subscription to the Book Riot book box. What is this you ask?  Well it is similar to those of you that have seen these box subscriptions everyone is doing lately. One popular one that I know of is Birchbox where you get quite a few beauty samples.  I have yet to see what is inside this book box... I am hoping someone posts a picture soon since they have been shipped out.  The boxes are supposed to be themed.. keep a look out by looking up the hashtag #BKR01

Next up...bookends.  I am totally a geek and these bookends are amazing at this etsy shop. There are some for everyone's tastes.  These here are my favorites:

OK... so this is pretty pricey.. but I love it. You can get your fingerprint mapped out with all the books you love!!! Sorg will then make a neat piece of art that you can hang up!!

I love love this phone cover.  I actually have one.. it's called BookBook.  Mine is for the iPhone and I love the way it looks.  Over time it gets scratched and changes color but that is what makes it look neat.  Like an old book.  So neat!

Well that is all for my list today!  Bookish gifts are the best!!

  2. Oh, I love these! Especially the T-shirts (Anne of Green Gables! Dracula!) on Litographs and the bookends :) And I WANT that map too. But it's expensive *cries* Maybe I can try to make it a DIY project... And now I want a new phone/Kindle cover as well....

    1. Yea that fingerprint is expensive. I don't even know if I would come up with 50 books to put on it. Too bad it doesn't come in a smaller size.

    1. I think that fingerprint art is actually pieces of wood. Which is probably why it's $400. Yikes!

  10. OMG that phone cover is awesome! I don't have a super popular phone (like the iPhone) so I wonder if they'll make it for me. If they do, I so want one! Great list, thanks for sharing!

    1. I think it makes it for all different kinds of phones!! I don't think it's Apple products exclusive.

  11. Oh I have the Postertext for Jane Eyre and I love it! I have a whole Jane Eyre wall in my room with the movie poster as well. And you weren't kidding about that thumbprint art - it is really expensive. I kinda want one, but maybe I can make it - on a very small scale. Something to try later!

    1. I think you could probably make it.. I guess the hard thing would be seeing exactly what the thumbprint looks like. The artist must have some type of machinery to blow up the print in large scale. Unless they just guess what it looks like and send you whatever!

  12. I bought Tequila Mockingbird a few months ago and I adore it. I've only made the 'Are You There God, It's Me Margarita" lol, but all of the titles are so clever and the drinks sound delicious. Plus, there is a chapter at the back for snacks, and another chapter for literary drinking games :)

    1. I think that I just need those books ends right now. I am going to try to order more stuff of Etsy. My sister always gets people amazing gifts from them. I think those phone covers aren't just for iPhone. I think you can get them on any phone (though I should fact check this huh?).
