Sunday Post

Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere!    I link up my post to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Reader and Stacking the Shelves.

Hello!  You may have noticed this week I am behind on commenting and visiting your blogs... but I have a great reason.  I am at San Diego Comic Con!  It has been a lot of fun. My legs are on fire of course from walking walking walking.   Expect to see some posts about it next week with hopefully some great pictures.  I should catch up on blogging then too.  This is pretty much my life this week:

Though I did get to see this guy too at the San Diego Zoo:

 On the Blog:
-There is a new Project Disney- Lilo and Stitch
-I talk about whether or not you are apart of the blogging community by having you answer a few simple questions.
-I review Will and Whit by Laura Laura Lee Gulledge
-Have you read Gone Girl by Gillain Flynn? Let's discuss what you think about this book.
- Also... a new video game review, Wolfenstein New World Order- Video Game Review

Internet:
Well... I didn't love the book Fifty Shades of Grey but of course there is a trailer out for the movie now.  Not sure what I think???

Books Books Books: No new ones this week from the library. Though I did read the ARC Horrorstor and it was pretty fun! What about you??? How is your week going??

Oh Comic Con! Fun! I'd LOVE to go there, but always seem to miss it. Plus it'd likely be insane! One of these days, because not only are there celebrities there, but there are authors! And books! Hope you had fun!

Enjoy your new read too! Totally new to me!

    Here's my STS

  5. ComicCon sounds like so much fun. I know someone who's been going for years. She lives in CA (although not near SD) so it's a little easier for her to get there. I'd love to go someday.

  7. Comicon looks amazing!! And Koalas! Hope you're having a fabulous time! I'm not sure about the 50 Shades movie. I read the book and it was just okay but I'm kind of curious to see how they turn the story into a movie. I'll have to go look at Lilo & Stitch. Somehow I missed it this week.

  8. Love the pic, makes me wish I was there! Always enjoy con pics! Did you get to see any Avengers stuff?

I've heard the SD zoo is pretty awesome, too.

  9. Oh wow, Comic Con! I’d love to go, but it’s a bit too far away from where I live. Maybe one day! Hope you love it. Happy reading and have a great week!

  11. I loved getting to see all the koalas at the San Diego zoo. That was my favorite part :D I can't wait to see the pics and hear news from Comic-Con. Sounds like you had a pretty crazy week. Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

  12. So jealous of your ComicCon experience!

And that 50 Shades trailer? Hot. Hot. Hot. The books. Not my favorite.

  13. I am so jealous you are at Comic Con! That is totally on my bucket list. My sister too, I'm sure! We're both really big nerds. lol

I saw the Fifty Shades trailer too (never read the books) and I won't see the movie. It's too much of an abusive relationship for me.

  14. I'm really looking forward to your post on Comic Con! I want to know what I missed! :D And I haven't been to the SD zoo in such a long time - I kinda wish I made time to go on this trip!

Also meh on the 50 Shades of Grey film - not interested in seeing it, but I am really in love with Beyonce's new version of Crazy in Love - I hope they will release that soon!

  15. Jealous that you are at Comicon!!

  16. Cannot wait to see your ComicCon post! I'm really excited for that, and am very glad you had a fun time there! It sounds like it would be such an intense couple of days, but worth it, by the sounds of it. Did you go to the Mockingjay set? (I don't know, do you like Hunger Games?)

Awww, I loved seeing the koalas in San Diego! SOOOOOOO CUTE!!!

  18. Koalas are so cute and fun. Though they really do only hug the tree. None of them were on the ground or eating. Just sleeping on the trees in the misters that the zoo had on them to cool them off.

  19. Thank you! The new layout is fun. I have been meaning to play with it a little bit more to add a signature and what not just haven't had time yet.

  20. I missed all the bookish events at the con. Just can't squeeze everything in. I wish that everything was at a different time so I could go to all the panels.

  21. It was a really really fun week. I loved San Diego. So beautiful. One year I am going to go there and not do Comic Con and just tour California.

    ReplyDelete
  22. If I lived in CA I would go to Comic Con every single year. And the years I couldn't get tickets I would still travel down there and do all the stuff there is outside the convention center.

  23. It was a total mad house. But a mad house full of geeky and wondrous items. I didn't buy anything because I do feel everything is way overpriced. But it was very very fun. I hope you were able to stop by my post about it. (I am late to replying to these Sunday Posts comments, as you can see a week late).

  24. I didn't like the 50 Shades book. The movie looks good.. but I'll wait for video that's for sure. I still really don't love the casting for it. I just didn't picture them like the people cast.

  25. I did get to see Avengers stuff. I didn't get to go to the panels (as you probably read in the Comic Con post) so that was a bummer. But I did get t see the booth on the convention floor.

  26. It's a little far from where I live too.. but I just road trip it there. I find it better to road trip because then we can just pack the car up with all kinds of stuff. Especially food. That makes the trip so much cheaper if you bring food along with you.

  27. I do have lots of pictures.. though I only posted some of them in the post. I was thinking about adding more and more but didn't know if it would be too many. I almost did two posts on Comic Con so I could add even more.

  28. I loved that too.. and I loved seeing the two Pandas they had there. I have been to a lot of zoos but you don't see those two animals are hardly any zoos. It was a very busy week and I am still busy. It is a week later and I am just NOW answering last week's Sunday Post comments.

  29. I think that trailer for the movie looks good too. In fact.. I was quite surprised. I didn't really love the book either but if I hadn't read the books yet, that trailer would've made me want to read them.

  30. It was an odd relationship. Very controlling .. I don't know how that will come across in the movie. I couldn't stand a man talking to me like Christian talks to her. What to wear... all that jazz. No.. not happening.

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL! I said in a comment above that if I hadn't read the book the movie trailer would make me interested in reading the book. It just looks interesting. Too bad the book wasn't that good to me.

  32. I didn't actually realize that it was Beyonce's voice and song until the very end of the trailer. I just wasn't paying attention I guess. I was staring at the trailer. I won't pay to see that movie in the theater. I am not that into the book to do that. But Magic Mike surprised me, I waited to see that on video and I actually enjoyed it. So maybe 50 Shades will be fun like that. MAYBE.

  33. I want to go to the Salt Lake one too. I am going to be in Salt Lake visiting my parents while it's going on.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I tried to go to the Mockingjay set. It was a mad house. I didn't really want to stand in the line. There were several places I really wanted to go where the lines just wouldn't end. :(

  35. The San Diego Zoo blew my mind. I just thought it was sooo damn amazing. The animals were right in my face!
