Sunday Post

Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere!    I link up my post to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Reader.

Another week down.  This weekend the weather has been wonderful.  I even made it outside to shoot some archery and it felt good to get out.  Even a little hot even though it's only 70 degrees out.  Today I am a little bummed since there is no more football.  Ughh... no NASCAR and no Game of Thrones.  But the Walking Dead does come back on so that is pretty great.  I can't wait for summer movie season.  There has been nothing out that I have wanted to see lately.  I think the next movie coming out that I actually want to go to is Cinderella and that's not till March.

My birthday is coming up this week, I actually share a birthday with my husband.  I have no idea what to get him this year.  There was something on Etsy I was looking at but it's being shipped from the UK so it's like $30 for shipping.  That is crazy!  I need to get him a birthday gift and a Valentine's Day gift so two gifts I need to come up with.

And what is going on with Twitter being like Facebook now???  You need to promote your tweets to be seen by your followers. This is why I don't have a Facebook for my blog.  I mean I have 1000 followers on Facebook but only 5% see the posts I post?  And now Twitter??  Stupid.  I am not going to pay to have a sponsored post on either site.

On the Blog:
- Bobbi Brown Beauty Books- Review  I am really into beauty right now and these books are great!
-Find Momo by Andrew Knapp Review  It's like find Waldo but with a dog!

Around the Blogospere:
-Forced to pull teasers that an author said was ok to post??   Sad for this blogger!
-It's OK to want to grow your blog -by Nosegraze  Building your blog is hard work.  You really have to go out and network and there is just no way around that.
-Getting Over It: Search True-Ughhh if you don't know what this is it's those LONG links.  I can't stand them myself.
-Blogger Checklist Infographic-I love this infographic so much!!!

Internet:
Game of Thrones Season 5 Trailer.  I can't wait!

Books Books Books:

  2. The weather was so nice here yesterday but I had to work so I couldn't really enjoy it much. Blah. I think it's going to get colder and colder as the week goes on now too.

That's kind of funny you have the same birthday as your husband. What are the odds?

  3. Oh, 70's, That would be great! We have not had any sunshine, and it's annoying. Archery sound like a great way to get out and be activ. And I know what you mean about movie- I want to go but there have been NO good seems like.

Happy birthday to you both- that's cool you share a bday. Have a great week!

  4. Happy birthday - giving to my hubs is also difficult b/c he just gets anything he wants when he wants it. Thanks for commenting.

  6. Wow! I hadn't heard that about twitter. it's part of the reason why I haven't bothered with a FB page either. I don't even go onto my personal login very often because I see the same crap from a small handful of people. I just want to see an accurate timeline like we used to!!

The weather has been beautiful, huh? Maybe too warm for February but I'm sure we'll have a few more cold spells. Are you here permanently now? I know you talked about it previously.

Hope you have a great week Angie!!

  7. What is this about twitter?? That's my go to for pretty much everything, and I thought twitter would be better than this! Such a bummer.

Happy early Birthday in case I don't get to tell you on the day! But I will try to! :D It is funny that you share the same day with your hubby - it's like you two were born for each other :D

  8. I have to catch up on GoT, we haven't watched season 4 yet, we're late ! I'll be buying my boyfriend a dressing gown for his birthday, one very thick, warm and so sweet he'll look like a big teddy bear lol ! Have a great week ;)

  9. Happy birthday to you and your husband! Mine is so difficult to shop for though it's gotten easier since he's gotten better about giving me a list. Hope you find something he'll love. That's one of the reasons I haven't bothered with FB so that's too bad to hear that Twitter's doing the same thing. Definitely annoying. Have a great week and a fabulous birthday!

  10. I enjoyed the weather this weekend too - Mr. Bookwyrm and I went out for a walk yesterday, and it seemed like everyone in the neighborhood was out walking - most of them with their dogs. (Not us. The cats don't appreciate going for walks.)

The Twitter thing is really disappointing. I suppose they have to make money somehow, but it squeezes those of us who blog for fun and can't pay to promote content.

I hope you have a wonderful week, Angela! And happy birthday to you and to your husband. :-)

  12. Oh that's neat yall have the same birthday. How fun. I had that on Etsy recently too. 3 dollar item. Shipping was like 15 bucks. For something that weighed like...nothing. Ah well. Hope you're able to find something great :)

  13. Well Happy Birthday to you if I haven't missed it. Hope you and your husband have a great birthday together. How fun to share a birthday with your husband. My Dad and I share the same birthday and I really like that.

I love Archery but haven't shot in years. There is no where around me to go shoot. I only target shoot and not hunt but I have a nice bow and miss it. I'm also very glad to have the Walking Dead back and I loved the episode this past Sunday. I have Hockey to keep me going so the end of football wasn't a big thing for me. Hope you have a great week.

  14. Awww, advance happy birthday, lovely! :) I recommend sending him a chibi drawing ;D But I only say that because I draw them for commission haha. In any case, I hope you guys have a lovely time and woot! Archery! I would love to know how to do that someday, just in case, you know, the zombie apocalypse does come.

  15. Ugh is twitter doing that too? Annoying! Shopping for husbands is so hard. Good luck. My husband has a birthday this time of year too and I haven't gotten him anything yet either!

  16. I just finished it today and am so glad. Though.... also sad at the same time. I enjoyed the book so much and now I have to move on to new characters and stories.

  17. It's snowing right now. I do love snow though... I am kind of not ready for Spring this year. I enjoy watching the snow fall outside. So long as I am not driving in it or outside in it.

  18. I can't wait for NASCAR! I am very sad about Jeff Gordon retiring. I don't even know who I am going to cheer for after he is gone. It is going to just not be the same for me.

  19. I miss the old facebook timelines. They were wonderful weren't they??? I really did like Twitter and the fact that I got to see what I wanted. Now they are starting to do those promotional posts and now you have to pay for people to see what you post? Do they think we all want to pay like $20 for someone to see what we write... it's only 140 words.

We were only visiting TX when we came down. It was sad to go. I don't ever know where I want to be.. Colorado or TX. We are getting a bunch of snow right now and it's pretty out. I would miss days like this. But then again TX winters are so nice.

  20. It is a bummer about Twitter. Sigh... everything revolves around money and I am sure they want more money like everyone one else in the world. The birthday was good and I got some cool geeky gifts and of course wrinkle cream! LOL!

  21. Oh yeah... you MUST catch up on GOT!!! I am sure that HBO will be playing the 4th season soon so that people can catch up. I would like to re-watch all the episodes before the new season. I usually do since we own them all.

  22. I did find a gift he wanted! Some headphones for the gym. I bought wired ones though and I guess he wanted wireless so he took them back and bought some different ones. I am glad that I got something though that he will use.

  23. I need to get back into the gym. The cold weather sometimes makes me avoid it though I don't know why. By the time I leave the gym I am so warm I don't even put a jacket on to get to the car. It's just getting myself out the door to the gym that is the hard part.

  24. I am torn this year between wanting it to be warm and loving the snow. Of course when it does snow I usually stay bundled warm in my house and just look at it out the window.

  25. I still want to buy stuff from Etsy. I have plenty of birthday money that I need to find something amazing to buy myself. I was thinking about some great shoes or a new purse. Perhaps some make-up! I just want it all!

  26. We only target shoot as well. There is a park by our house that has a free archery range. It fun to go out and just do something. That Walking Dead episode was hard for me to watch. So sad. I hope tonight's episode is a little bit more cheerful. I don't know how much more I can take of the sad episodes!

  27. If the zombies come.. knowing how to do archery is going to be huge. My skills with a bow should keep me alive for a few years. I'll be able to teach people what to do! LOL!

  28. Gifts where so much easier when I was first dating. That's when I would do the whole cheesy gifts. You know.. big stuffed animals and what not. Now I want to make sure that it's something we are going to use and not just something that will sit in a corner of the house for years and years.

  29. We started catching up yesterday :)
