This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by
answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee &
Alisoncanread. We also gain new followers by joining each other's sites
via GFC, so please let me know if you're a new follower since I
automatically follow back. And now for this week's question....
Question: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?
I really dislike biographies and non-fiction. I have tried and tried to read these types of books. For example... Eat Pray Love which EVERYONE seemed to love I just couldn't get into. One I did enjoy was Dewey the Library Cat. Though I didn't finish it but I thought it was OK.
Hey Angela. I completely agree with you on biographies and non-fiction. Though I'm sure it can be very interesting to some people, they just bore the heck out of me. lol. Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for the words of encouragement, and am now a follower. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by,
Livin' Life Through Books
Anytime! I deal with moody people on goodreads every now and then and I just have to ignore it and keep it positive!
DeleteNew follower! I agree with your feelings about Eat, Pray, Love. I remember people saying that the book changed their lives, and I always wondered why. Great header, by the way. Looking forward to your reviews.

I don't like non-fiction as well but I haven't read Eat, Pray, Love! A new follower! :)

Here is my FF
New follower!
ReplyDeleteAhaha, when I clicked on the link and say your header image I thought it was my blog. You see, my name is also Angela and I have this exact same page. LOL. Anyways, I find I dislike books EVERYONE raves about. It kind of turns me off from a book. No longer my little, personal, favorite story, but everyone elses.

CRAZY! I tried to follow but of course blogger was messed up. I will try again later!
DeleteDoesn't seem like many people are fond of biographies! I can't stand them either - or any non-fiction in fact.
ReplyDeleteHappy to be a new follower! :) My FF post
I'm not a fan of biographies either.

I'll read a biography if it's someone I'm interested in. Old follower!

ReplyDeleteI usually don't read biographies either, although I did enjoy Eat Pray Love! Non-fiction is a little harder to me because I feel like it's homework!

Hopping through. I love non-fiction and memoirs. I loved Dewey, but I've been nervous about trying Eat Pray Love.
