LET’S GET THIS FIESTA STARTED!
The idea behind Bloggiesta is to spend these next three days working on perfecting your blog and connecting with other bloggers who are doing the same thing. Spread the word and get all your friends to come and fiesta with us! If you haven’t heard about Bloggiesta before, it’s a weekend (September 20th-22nd) where we all sit down to work on our blogs, do those things we keep putting off, as well as network and meet new bloggers and participate in challenges and giveaways. Definitely check it out, it’s a lot of fun!
I will update just this one post here so people don't keep seeing the same post over and over again. So head here if you want to see my updates! Here are my goals:
Holy smokes! I had no idea Bloggiesta started... well TODAY through the 22nd!
Here is what I would like to get done:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
I tried this... the Twitter things seems like too much and the google authorship you need to like your blogger account to google plus and I DO NOT want to do that. I did verify my email before I read that though so please God don't let my blog switch to google +!!
6.
7. Go through the blogs I follow and stop following the ones who aren't blogging anymore or the ones that don't blog about topics I am interested in. This is always a big project so I save it for Bloggiesta.
8.
9. Add and image for Feedburner when commenting on Wordpress.

I love to do Bloggiesta! I never think I have time but it's not like a readathon... you actually do end up with time!
DeleteGood luck with your list - you can do it :-) And I'm loving all the mini-challenges - so informative.
ReplyDeleteAbout to check out the mini-challenges now!
DeleteI love seeing what everyone has on their list although it does usually lead to me adding more to mine! Good luck on your goals!!!
ReplyDelete~Kristin @ Always With a Book
By the end of the weekend I have WAY more items on my list.
DeleteI always seem to found extra things to do from checking others' lists...which is a good thing. Great to-do list.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY BLOGGIESTA POST
I meant to say "find" extra things..lol
DeleteGood luck on your list!
DeleteThis is the first Bloggiesta I have seen people mention Twitter Cards. I have to check this out and maybe add it to my to do list too! Have a great Bloggiesta!
ReplyDeleteThanks... I didn't know about Twitter Cards till this bloggiesta too!!
DeleteI have no clue what a twitter card is, Alysia, so we're always learning new things, eh? Love the image of you with a Hollywood Star on the Walk of Fame. I was just there last Sunday. Love it there!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and your goals are inspiring me to add some as well, Angela. I didn't know about Google Authorship for example until now. And by the way - you are my first Bloggiesta Goal Post to visit EVER!! YAY!!
YEAH!! Thank you for visiting!!! I am about to work on some of my goals right now starting with the challenges.
DeleteIf you need help with the code or anything else bloggywise and I know how to help I will. Just hit me up on twitter.
ReplyDeleteI need to do the twitter card thing.
Mission to Read
I'll be hitting you up tonight!!! I need this code to work!
DeleteEmailing you now!
DeleteMy list gets longer too- but this time I'm writing them down for long term goals- I know I won't get to everything this weekend, but I need very real reminders going forward. Good luck with all of your goals!
ReplyDeleteKate @ Midnight Book Girl
Thanks... good idea about long term lists. I usually go into the week still doing my goals.
DeleteGreat list!! Have a fun Bloggiesta!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Twitter card or Google authorship, but now I want them! Hm, I think my "page not found" page looks alright as it is, but I might do something more unique when I have the time :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!!
Thanks... I am glad everyone is learning about Twitter cards and Google authorship!!
DeleteI put "make a list of stuff to do later" on my list for this weekend and got a couple of ideas from your list -- thanks! Have fun checking off to-dos!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love reading everyone lists and getting ideas. I always learn so many things.
DeleteGreat list to begin with and like you I anticipate it to grow even more. Good luck and enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteLOL... I swear I always find new things, the list always grows every time I participate.
DeleteYou have a great list! I too could take some time to weed through all the blogs I follow in my reader and tidy it up a bit. Thanks for stopping by my list & good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! Yea I have to go through my blog list every Bloggiesta... it is just the perfect time to do it.
Delete#7 is a big one for me as well :)
ReplyDeleteI swear every time bloggiesta comes around I have followed like 100 more blogs. I need to keep that list a little smaller.
DeleteI need to back up the blog too. Thanks for remcinging me :) Great list
ReplyDeleteI try to do it every now and then. I did have drama once and was really glad I had backed it up!
DeleteGood luck on Bloggiesta! I did the mini one last time, but weekends just really aren't good days for me to dive into stuff like this. Maybe I'll look at some of the challenges come Monday.
ReplyDeleteWeekends are perfect for me... though I will admit that I continue doing it during the week that follows!
DeleteLook at all you've done already! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYeah!! I was on my way... and then I slowed way down! Working on some more tonight!
DeleteGood luck Angela! I don't have time this weekend to participate but I love the idea of it. I have no clue what twitter cards are?!
ReplyDeleteI don't either... so I am going to check them out and see if they are useful.
DeleteOh. I love the idea of going through all the blogs you're subscribed to and clearing out ones you no longer want to follow. Very smart!
ReplyDeleteI swear it makes a big difference in my reader. I want to follow everyone and see how they are doing but sometimes it is just way too many.
DeleteSo true - moderating Goodreads groups is a ton of work! Whoa I had never heard of twitter cards but those are cool! I should totally do that! Thanks for the link :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
Deletegood work, un following blogs that don't post is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI swear sometimes I have too many. Though Bloglovin has made it easier to follow these blogs.
DeleteYou have some great goals and already have completed a ton, good for you! I didn't know what a Twitter card & Google authorship was until I seen it here, I doubt I will have time to add that to my list but I will save it for another day, they both seem so useful so thanks for that! Going through follow-blogs is a huge task, I hope you get that completed as well as the rest of your goals! Good luck :D
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I am going to give that twitter/google thing a go and see if it brings any traffic to my blog.
DeleteWow--those Goodreads boards do sound like a lot of work! But hopefully it's still fun for you. Good luck with all your goals. I haven't looked at the mini challenges yet and not sure I'll have time this weekend with everyone home but I would like to know more about SEO!
ReplyDeleteSEO is like the bane of blogging. I swear it is!!
DeleteOooh, a 'page not found'. I like that!
ReplyDeleteYou've made great progress so far! Keep it up :)
Thanks... I really slowed down but should be back up to speed this week (I know it's only supposed to be a couple of days but I let it go all week).
DeleteLooks like you are making progress on your list--keep up the good work! I really like the "you might also be interested in" links at the bottom of each post. Are they difficult to set up? (I use blogger).
ReplyDeleteNo they aren't hard to set up. Just go to the website LInked In and you should be able to figure it out.
DeleteI mean linkwithin. Sorry not Linked In!
DeleteGood job with your list! Keep up the good work!!!! You're halfway through (at least with actually marking what you've finished), so you can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteHAHAH! I was pretty good at marking what was done. Not sure though after Friday that I got much more done over the weekend.
DeleteI keep seeing this Google Authorship goal as I'm hopping around. I'll have to check into that...after Bloggiesta ends!
ReplyDeleteYou're making great progress - good luck with the rest :)
Thanks... I never really got a chance to look at it but I will be this week.
DeleteYou've had a very productive weekend! Fantastic job, good luck with the last of your goals.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteOh, I have to check out the Twitter card thing and Google authorship. I never heard of it! Plus, I am going to make a Pinterest board for my posts.
ReplyDeleteI think Pinterest might bring in some new followers and even people who are just stopping by!
