Harry Potter Moment of the Week-Diagon Alley coming to US!


I am participating in Harry Potter moment of the week hosted by  Uncorked Thoughts .  Here is what we do:

Q. Favorite moment in Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone?  I think my favorite part of this book is when we first see Diagon Alley!!  I wanted to really be there so bad.  I would just love the shops. 













I mean.. did you see today it was announced that they are adding Diagon Alley to Universal Studios in Florida?  I must make a trip back NOW I mean in 2014. I had so much fun when I went in 2010 when the park first opened and you better believe I will go back for this.  I mean 2014???  WHA??


Anyways.. back to Diagon Alley being my favorite part of the book.  This is where Harry sees what wizarding is all about.  Brooms to buy, robes, potion ingredients, familiars, and WANDS!  Who doesn't want to hang out in the Leaky Cauldron?   I would stay there all the time.


I can't stop thinking about Florida.....





Well ... that is my favorite part of the Sorcerer's Stone!!  Here is a glimpse of what it will look like!

    This actually makes me feel better about having missed Universal Studios when we went to Florida two years ago. I so badly wanted to go for the Harry Potter part of the park, but my kids were too little and wouldn't be able to do many of the things, so we opted to skip it. Now I have an excuse to go back and try out U.S. when all is said and done!

      I can't wait for the Wizarding World to open up in Cali.. much closer to where we live!!

      You must make a trip there.. it really is a ton of fun!! Very crowded though so expect to be there a couple of days.

    WAAAGGHHH Angie! I wish I could go to that Universal Tour too! Part of the reason the UK sucks (despite the studio tour). Diagon Alley would be amazing.

      It really is... I think it introduces us to what the entire series is really going to be like.

    oh my gosh!!! I am DEFINITELY waiting to go to harry potter world until this is open. Diagon Alley is one of my favorite parts of book one too. Your blog has me dancing with joy right now over all the HP!

      LOL!! If I hadn't have already book to the wizarding world I too would wait to go until this is open. Though everyone is probably thinking this.. hummm... so the crowds might be less right before it opens!
