Oh my December is just my month of Christmas Trees, Santa Claus being a pedo, and lots of warm fluffy clothes, hot chocolate too? ;D Gosh Even if Dash and Lily's Book of Dares doesn't win, I seriously recommend you read that during the Christmas week, because it's just so freaking amazing book and good and needs to be read because it's so funny and just right for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being moderator for 6 years already! Whoop-whoop!
I am glad to hear such a great recommendation for Dash and Lily's Book of Dares. Looks like Maze Runner won... which is a bummer because I did want there to be a holiday read. But the people have spoken!!
DeleteWow, six years! A couple of my friends and I just started an online book club and are still learning the Goodreads ropes, so I admire your years of experience. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope Let it Snow wins because I was planning on reading that one during the last month of 2013 anyway. I'm a bit obsessive about reading holiday books in December, creepy books in October, summer camp books in June, etc.
Congratulations and have a lovely book club month in December!
I love to read themed books too. I just like the idea of having a book that goes a long with the season and what not. Some advice for your book club... I have noticed that if you pick a book that is old and not really popular you have a lot less participation then if you pick a book that is current.
