Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, where we have the chance to share what upcoming releases we are on the edge of our seats in anticipation for.
I have enjoyed reading the Abandon series by Meg Cabot and look forward to reading the third book Awaken. It comes out on July 1st.. perfect for summer reading. Awaken will be the final book and we'll get to see what happens with Pierce and John. Here is the description:
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Meg Cabot, the dark reimagining of the Persephone myth comes to a thrilling conclusion.
Death has her in his clutches. She doesn't want him to let go.
Seventeen-year-old Pierce
Oliviera knew by accepting the love of John Hayden, she'd be forced to
live forever in the one place she's always dreaded most: the Underworld.
The sacrifice seemed worth it, though, because it meant she could be
with the boy she loves.
But now her happiness -- and
safety -- are threatened, all because the Furies have discovered that
John has broken one of their strictest rules: He revived a human soul.
If the balance between life and
death isn't fixed, both the Underworld and Pierce's home back on earth
will be wiped away. But there's only one way to restore order. Someone
has to die.
Can't wait!
First of all, name twinsies! Rock on! And second, I can't wait for this one either. Love this series! Can't wait to see how it finishes.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Name twinsies is right! I love it! I am excited to see how it finishes too. It's always hard to wait a year in between books.
DeleteI love Meg Cabot, but I've really struggled with the second book of this series. I don't know why. I definitely want to know how it ends and that cover is so pretty. Great pick!

I love the covers too. I will say that the second book kind of had middle of the series syndrome. So I am hoping book three ends the series well.
DeleteOoh nice! I read this one last month I think on Netgalley and really enjoyed it! Hope you do too!

I didn't see it on netgalley! I don't check there as often as I used to though since I don't read as much as everyone else.
DeleteGreat pick! I'll have to check out this series:)

DeleteI seriously need to start this series. These are like the only Meg Cabot books I don't own lol. Sounds good!
ReplyDeleteNinja Girl
They are the only Meg Cabot books I've read! I actually need to read her other books and see how they are.
DeleteHaven't read this series, but love the sound of it! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's a pretty easy light read. Nothing too serious.
DeleteAwesome pick! I really want to check this series out. It sounds really great and I've heard really awesome things about Meg's other novels.
