Sunday Post

Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere!    I link up my post to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Reader.  A cold cold week here.  We were down in the single digits.  First snowfall of the year and it was pretty! Picked up some new comics from the library and can't wait to get started on those. For those following the anxiety/depression updates I am doing good.  This week still had ups and downs... I do think things are getting better.

I am looking forward to a new show called The Librarians on TNT.  Have you heard of it?? It's based off those fun movies with the same name. The show is about an ancient organization hidden beneath Gotham’s Metropolitan Public Library, dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden around them.  If you haven't seen the movies you should watch them.  It's fun.

On the blog:
I review the movie Big Hero 6
I discuss Group blogs.. confusing or fabulous?
I finally participate in Tough Traveling where this week we are talking about named Weapons

Around the Blogospere:
A blogger I love at Love, Laughter and a Touch of Insanity had an amazing post this week called Find Your Beauty.  I recommend you all go and check it out.
Where to start in comics??  Nylon Admiral has a great post about this.
Sci-fi month is still going strong!  Here is a post about Archeology in Science Fiction by Oh the Books.

What is going on in your world this week?

  2. I want to see the librarians soooo much because Christian Kane! I have a small crush on him after Leverage. ;-) Ahh, but you're having a temperature drop and it's exploded with heat on my side of the world. I'm literally melting in my stuffy humid bedroom right now. *drowns in puddles of sweat*

  4. I'm glad you're doing better with your anxiety and depression, too, Angela! I hope the beauty of the snow helped, and that it will continue to do so.
I haven't heard of the Librarian show, and at the same time, I really don't need to start watching something new. Knowing myself, I'm probably not going to be able to resist, though.
I hope you'll enjoy the comics you've picked up. Have a fantastic week.

  7. Glad you had a wonderful week, Angela. I've heard about The Librarians, but I don't have cable so I won't be able to watch it! Sounds like it right up my alley.

  9. Oh wow, snow already! We don't get much snow here, but we get plenty of rain instead! I haven't heard of that show, hope you really enjoy it :D Have a great week, and happy reading :)

  10. Glad to hear you're feeling better! The Librarians looks good! TNT has made me unhappy lately with some of their cancellations (ok mostly Perceptions) so maybe this will make up for it. Single digits??? I've been complaining for days because we're in the 40s! Must toughen up!

  11. I haven't heard of librarians!! Maybe I can find it on Netflix and watch that way. We've only been watching Gilmore Girls lately (except for a few odd movies--really enjoyed Begin Again this weekend).

And thanks for the link love. Hope you're having a great weekend Angie.

  13. Thank you. It is hard. I started a new med and I am soooo tired from it! Side effects. Love the snow but not enjoying the cold weather.

  15. I'm happy to hear you are doing better. My daughter has depression so we have good and bad days. We just have to take one day at a time and I'm so glad you are doing good. I loved the Librarian movies so it's nice to see it being made as a series. I can't wait to watch this. Have a great week and stay warm =)

  16. You should totally watch the movies that go with the show! There are three of them and it super fun. I just love it! I remember when it first came on I didn't watch it and my mom kept telling me about it. Finally I watched and am soooo happy I did.

  17. It is so crazy how we are all in different temperatures. I took a cruise once in the middle of summer and it was a mistake. I should've gone in winter and then it would be warm. Though we are going to a warm place for Thanksgiving!

  18. I did think the snow was pretty. We were still getting some yesterday. Now it's just cold here. Burr!

  19. I would love a library like theirs that's for sure. You should try to watch the movie... I am sure they will show it before the show begins.

  20. Hopefully the show is as good as the movies!

  21. Hummm... maybe it will be available to watch online? You will have to look and see.

  22. We DVR most things too. Yesterday though I didn't want to watch a show.. I was watching a movie on TNT and saw the commercial. I knew the show was coming I just didn't know when!

  23. It took a long time for the cold to get here. We were soooo warm up until this week. I am glad though that winter is here.. just means I get to look forward to spring.

  25. Hopefully some day I move back to TX and the winters will be like that again. I will miss the snow but not driving on it. I guess I would be trading it for the heat of the summer though.

  26. Librarians is sooooo fun. I am not sure if it is on netflix or not but I bet your library has it . I hope the show is as good as the movies.

  27. So good!! I am glad to share about the show with some people who hadn't heard about it before.

  28. Depression is not easy. I am starting a new med this weekend and the side effects are never fun. You just always hope they pass. So you don't have to switch meds again. I know you are supposed to give the meds like one to two weeks to see if the side effects go away. NO FUN! So we'll see how this goes.

  29. I've never see The Librarians movies, but I really want to watch the show. It has some awesome people in it and it looks like a lot of fun.

  32. The Librarians sounds like fun! Too bad we gave up cable; I'll have to wait for it to show up on Netflix. I'm glad this week went well for you, on the whole. Sorry you're having such cold weather, though!

  33. I love the snow, we just had our first snow too, but them it changed to rain and ice and I hate that. I am glad you are doing better, that is wonderful to hear.

I am super excited for Librarians it looks like fun!

  34. Oh you gave up cable??? Well good for you! My husband and I watch a lot of TV. It is an escape for us. We don't have kids so it is really what we do for leisure. I am headed to TX for Thanksgiving so warm weather here I come!

  35. The Librarians should be great. It is only 8 episodes though. I am hoping if people like it then it will get picked up for more episodes.

  36. We watch a fair bit, too, but we realized most of what we watch was available via streaming or from Netflix, and the cable bill was huge, so it was one place we could economize without feeling like we were really losing out. Last year we watched all the seasons of The West Wing, plus a fair bit of Star Trek (Next Generation and some Deep Space Nine.) If one or both of us were more of a sports fan, it probably wouldn't have worked to give up cable. We kept the cable internet, though -- can't give that up! ;-)
