Thousands of Internet fans play hide-and-seek with Momo the border collie every day, and now you can, too. Momo and his best buddy Andrew Knapp have traveled all over—through fields, down country roads, across cities, and into yards, neighborhoods, and surreal spaces of all sorts. The result is a book of spectacular photography that’s also a game you can play anytime. Lose yourself in page after page of Andrew’s beautiful, serene, dreamlike images, and sooner or later you’ll find Momo’s sweet, eager face looking back at you. (Can’t find him? Don’t worry…the answers are in the back.)This is a fun fun book. I actually learned about Momo (the dog) on instagram one day when I was exploring on there and saw a picture where people would like and find Momo.. similar to Where's Waldo. When I discovered him on instagram with the hashtag #foundmomo I had to go on the internet to discover who this dog is. I then discovered there is an entire book full of pictures that you can look through and find Momo so I headed to the library to find this book.
Find Momo at the video store |
One thing I really enjoyed about the book was at the very end of the book there is a cheat guide on where Momo is in case you can't find him. There is also an explanation about a few of the pictures you see in the book about where and when the picture was taken. Nice personal touch to the book. I have always been interested in book where you find things. I am a huge fan of Where's Waldo, though I thought the I, Spy books were a little too easy. This would be such a fun and perfect book for a guest room in your house.

I don't even like dogs but this is freakin' adorable! I found Momo in the first two pictures, but can't find him in the bookstore! Gotta keep looking hahah.
ReplyDeleteI think I definitely need that cheat guide :)
ReplyDeleteLOLOL!
ReplyDeleteBottom left of the picture... you can see the white on his nose. He is behind some of the books there!
ReplyDeleteAw, this is too cute. I love the premise, and that's great the book has a cheat sheet. I can find Momo in them all but the bookstore; so much going on in that one!

Oh! I see him now LOL. That's a hard one!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Momo, but this is an adorable idea - a where's waldo with real photographs! I'm glad this was such a fun book for you! I'm going to check out the instagram feed now!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I love border collies and i love hidden object books so this is perfect. I found Momo but it took some looking. I'll definitely have to get this book. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe bookstore one got me for a minute but i found him. Fun!
ReplyDeleteThat bookstore one is hard! I had to enlarge the picture to find him. The book's pictures really aren't that hard so even kids would have fun with it.
ReplyDeleteI love this book so much.. really you can go to the webpage too and check out all the pictures on there. Cute stuff
ReplyDeleteI love nature and photography (not so much dogs) so I really loved everything about this book! I would really adore it if it were cats hidden in the pictures.
ReplyDeleteLOL! The book store one got everyone. I think it was fun to put some easy and some hard ones in there.
ReplyDeleteThe first two pictures were fairly easy, the third took a few minutes, but I finally spotted him. This is a cool book, and it almost makes me wish I had Instagram.
ReplyDeleteI love them too. I wish I could take cool pictures like this. I have checked out photo books from the library an still can't take really good pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou would like Instagram I know you would Ryan. It would be your thing as far as pictures go... I would love to see some of the ones you take posted on there.
ReplyDeleteHi Angela!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would like this so much as the fantastic Where's Wally (it's Wally in Australia, though why I'm not sure- same thing and everything, different name!), because I like the art-illustration element a lot, and the added detail of that, but this is a really interesting idea for a book. With kittens/cats it could be so great- a room full of fluffies and you have to find the one silky or what-not! ( :
HELLO! Are you back from your break?? Wow if so that break went by quick. Where's Waldo is just so fun. This is certainly a lot easier of a book then Where's Waldo. Where's Waldo is more of a challenge... especially when you start doing those check lists in the back of the books. Like find the banana in one of the pictures and it's like a tiny banana by someone's feet. So fun!
ReplyDeleteI am! Back and making my way through the many posts I missed! I've still got quite some catching up to do- many more of your posts, so expect some comments coming in on old posts over the next few weeks!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the detail. If I didn't get carsick, they'd be perfect for long travels!
I am so happy your back. Time flew that's for sure!
