RIP IX runs September 1st through October 31st.
It’s hosted by Carl at Stainless Steel Droppings .. so clever! There are only two rules:
1. Have fun reading (and watching).
2. Share that fun with others.
2. Share that fun with others.
There are several different options to chose from so be sure to visit their site to discover which one you would like to join up with. This is what I have picked:
Peril the Third or, the One Book Only option:
We all want you to participate. This Peril involves imbibing just one R.I.P.ping read.
I need to read the last Sookie Stackhouse book so... this will be the time.
Peril on the Screen:
This is for those of us that like to watch suitably scary, eerie, mysterious gothic fare during this time of year. It may be something on the small screen or large. It might be a television show, like Dark Shadows or Midsomer Murders, or your favorite film. If you are so inclined, please post links to any R.I.P.-related viewing you do on to the Review Site as well.
I need to finish Supernatural, and I am not sure what else I am going to add.. But this is the time to get started on catching up on some shows!
Are you going to join up this year???
I think I may join this this year. I love fall too, I'm ready for the leaves to turn and cooler weather and of course October! I always feel like watching some scary stuff this time of year... :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds and looks amazing. I will be keeping an eye on this for sure.
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd probably join this. You seem like someone who'd love these types of books. I'm still trying to decide if I want to join.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a pretty fun event. I look forward to seeing your posts connected to it!
ReplyDeleteI need to get back on Supernatural. I'm somewhere in the middle of Season 4.
Oh, how fun! I really do love Halloween. I'm hoping to see the movie Horns at midnight, as I think it comes out ON Halloween.

I would have loved to join but, hey, my computer is to slooooooowwwwww ! But I have a feeling you're gonna have great fun ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh, Halloween! I'm very excited for that, and am already thinking of what I'll conjour up this year. I want to start planning far in advance because then I should (in my ideal) have everything ready by the 31st, though that probably isn't likely no matter how much planning I do. Still, I guess it means lists, which I like a lot!
ReplyDeleteThe picture looks kind of like a halloween-esq Elsa from Frozen, which I find quite amusing for some reason! (:
Sounds like fun - but I don't think I want to take on any more challenges right now! Enjoy your perilous entertainments, though!
ReplyDeleteIt is my favorite time of year too...bring on the PUMPKIN FLAVORED EVERYTHING! Bring on the costumes etc. I can't wait to decorate etc.!
ReplyDeleteYay Sookie Stackhouse! I mean, I hope you'll like the last book, but at least you will finally finish the series! And I really need to start watching Supernatural. I think I'm going through this phase where I just binge watch shows, so after all the Star Trek, I'm doing Buffy and then Supernatural I think!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't planning to join but that graphic is seriously tempting me LOL
ReplyDeleteDo it! You can read mysteries as well as horror. So you could really find something to go alone with this project.
ReplyDeleteIt is super fun... a lot of people join up to just talk about all things spooky and fun.
ReplyDeleteI need to get Supernatural finished. I keep putting it off. I don't know why either. Other things keep coming up. I just need to do a marathon of the show.
ReplyDeleteHorns movie should be good and fun. I loved that book!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe your computer is still not doing well. BOO!!
ReplyDeleteThe picture for this event is fabulous!! I love the artist also.. just discovered her through this event. I have had a lot of family things going on so I just want to put that all aside and just have some fun reading and watch excellent shows.
ReplyDeleteI will!! I am going to go on over to the host site for ideas for things to watch.
ReplyDeleteI love it too. This year I am headed to my aunt's house because last year there were hardly any trick or treaters. So it wasn't fun at my house at all. I think I had maybe two or three.
ReplyDeleteI have been interested in Buffy. I tried to watch it once and didn't really get into it. But I know there are some super fans out there for it. I might just re-read the Sookie series. I have been in the mood to do it.
ReplyDeleteLOL! That graphic is pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I am excited about participating!
ReplyDeleteI'm so far behind on your blog. My emails stopped coming. So glad you are doing this challeneg. This is my favorite. Can't wait to see what movies you review. Have fun.
