R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril IX

Honestly... I love Fall... I love Halloween!!  I love it all!  I love the colors... so whenever R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril IX comes around I get super excited. This fall I am going to try a Pumpkin latte that everyone loves from Starbucks... I am going to go and pick pumpkins from a pumpkin patch since mine didn't grow like I thought they would.. I am going to take a hay ride and I am going to read and watch movies!!

Here are the categories to choose from:
Mystery.
Suspense.
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.
Or anything sufficiently moody that shares a kinship with the above. That is what embodies the stories, written and visual, that we celebrate with the R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril event.
RIP IX  runs September 1st through October 31st
It’s hosted by Carl at Stainless Steel Droppings .. so clever!  There are only two rules:
1. Have fun reading (and watching).
2. Share that fun with others.

There are several different options to chose from so be sure to visit their site to discover which one you would like to join up with.  This is what I have picked:

ripnineperilthird
Peril the Third or, the One Book Only option:
We all want you to participate. This Peril involves imbibing just one R.I.P.ping read.

I need to read the last Sookie Stackhouse book so... this will be the time.

ripnineperilscreen
Peril on the Screen:
This is for those of us that like to watch suitably scary, eerie, mysterious gothic fare during this time of year. It may be something on the small screen or large. It might be a television show, like Dark Shadows or Midsomer Murders, or your favorite film. If you are so inclined, please post links to any R.I.P.-related viewing you do on to the Review Site as well.

I need to finish Supernatural, and I am not sure what else I am going to add..  But this is the time to get started on catching up on some shows!

Are you going to join up this year???

  7. Ooh, Halloween! I'm very excited for that, and am already thinking of what I'll conjour up this year. I want to start planning far in advance because then I should (in my ideal) have everything ready by the 31st, though that probably isn't likely no matter how much planning I do. Still, I guess it means lists, which I like a lot!

The picture looks kind of like a halloween-esq Elsa from Frozen, which I find quite amusing for some reason! (:

  8. Sounds like fun - but I don't think I want to take on any more challenges right now! Enjoy your perilous entertainments, though!

  10. Yay Sookie Stackhouse! I mean, I hope you'll like the last book, but at least you will finally finish the series! And I really need to start watching Supernatural. I think I'm going through this phase where I just binge watch shows, so after all the Star Trek, I'm doing Buffy and then Supernatural I think!

  12. Do it! You can read mysteries as well as horror. So you could really find something to go alone with this project.

  14. I need to get Supernatural finished. I keep putting it off. I don't know why either. Other things keep coming up. I just need to do a marathon of the show.

  19. I love it too. This year I am headed to my aunt's house because last year there were hardly any trick or treaters. So it wasn't fun at my house at all. I think I had maybe two or three.

  20. I have been interested in Buffy. I tried to watch it once and didn't really get into it. But I know there are some super fans out there for it. I might just re-read the Sookie series. I have been in the mood to do it.
