Sunday Post

Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere!    I link up my post to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Reader and Stacking the Shelves.

Back in action on blogging.  So this week I should get up a new Project Disney!!  Yeah.. I know you guys have been missing that feature right???  I have been working on my goodreads group.  Just when I think I have co-mods to take over some I realize I have to get some work done in the group still.  Sigh. But that is what Bloggiesta is for right?  Getting blog and book stuff done.   I got to see the Maze Runner this weekend so be on the lookout for the review on this movie Monday.

It's time for pumpkins!  I can't wait to go to the store this week and buy some.  I did grow some in my garden this year but they didn't grow very large.  I got about 3 mini ones. My garden was actually not successful this summer but it was my first one and I still loved it!

I've been trying to get my Colorado Book Month off the ground.  It is tough to get book bloggers from a state involved.  I always have such a good time participating in the Utah Book Month so I am trying to get one going for Colorado.  I have only found a few bloggers though in the community.  Maybe there just aren't as many here as I think there are. My husband even created this fancy graphic design for me!

On the Blog:
-Top Ten Authors I need to Read
-Fall Bloggiesta

Around the blogospere:
-I love this feature by Where the Reader Comes to Write.  She finds items that she thinks a book character would own.  So fun!
-How to remove Linkwithin from the homepage.  This is seriously a great tip!!
-How make a book-blogger mad.  Um.. the Notebook Sisters come up with the best posts.
-Where to put your books when you run out of room.. on the cat of course.

Internet:  I love this video so much!

Books Books Books:

Well I put some new books on hold at the library.  Last week I took all the books I had on hold off hold.  I just felt overwhelmed and wanted to start over.  So I am back at getting like one book at a time rather then like 5 books at a time.  I did watch Austenland this week.  What a terrible movie!  I thought it was going to be cute and heartfelt instead it was goofy and just plan not that great.

  1. Aw three mini pumpkins is great. Mine so didn't grow any this year. Next year hopefully :) I was looking over all of the pumpkins and such at the grocery last night thinking I needed to do a little shopping :)

  2. I want to get some white pumpkins this year and the only place I ever see them is at Whole Foods and they sell out quick. So this year I am determined to get some!

  3. Full of energy! LOLOL! Well thank you. I don't feel full of energy. I went roller skating for the first time in years yesterday and when the two hours were over I thought I was going to die.

  4. I think it's great that you have a garden at all! I have such a purple thumb, or whatever the opposite of a green thumb is. At least I think I do.

I love your Disney feature, and I will have to check out Bloggiesta. Every year, I think I will do it, and I never do. Maybe this time!

  5. Bloggiesta ended today. BOO! You are too late. But I didn't do much for it this time around anyways. Just didn't have a lot to work on I guess. Plus busy around here.

  6. That sucks about Austenland! I'm not the biggest movie fan but I had been kind of wanting to watch it. I think I'll just read the book. My first garden didn't do great either but it's gone a little better every year so hopefully you'll have the same results! I am excited about another Project Disney! I have been missing it. Have a great week!

  9. The pumpkins are all out here too, and we need to get some. Can't wait to see what you thought of Maze Runner. I don't really know that story (haven't read the book) so don't really have any preconceptions, but the movie looks interesting.

That video is awesome! That would scare the living crap out of someone- and that elevator scene- I knew they were going to freak. Hilarious! If I saw that coming... uh uh. No way. :)

  15. I'm really bad about getting too many books from the library and having to return some unread. There are jsut so many I want to read and never enough time!
I love the video. I'm using it for my Thursday Theatre post in October and mentioned I found it on your blog and provided your link. Thanks for sharing.

  17. If I had a dog I would totally do this. I have cats and they probably wouldn't work as well as the dog. I need to go and pick up some pumpkins today or tomorrow. I just really want a white one and those go so fast.

  18. I can't wait to get our pumpkins too. Plus that would be a sign of cooler weather, which I can't wait to finally happen. The Colorado Book Month is a great idea! Have you posted this on Facebook? There are so many book groups maybe that will help you find more bloggers. I love that video!!! That poor dog had me laughing so hard lol. Have a great week!!

  19. I don't currently have a facebook group for the Colorado Book Bloggers. I don't have one for my blog either. I tried to have one but facebook has marked my blog link as spam. Sooo..... there is that. Oh well.

  21. Yeah.. so glad you are using that video. Everyone needs to see it. It should put a smile on all faces.. unless of course you are deathly afraid of spiders. I always hate too when I keep a book and don't read it and someone else out there was on the waiting list for it. ERRRR!!!
