I am sure most of you may have already seen this.. but here is JK Rowling's secret book that came out in April. She used a pseudonym name. I am surprised it didn't stay secret longer but in the days of the internet I suppose secrets don't last. “Being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience,” Rowling
said. “It has been wonderful to publish without hype and expectation
and pure pleasure to get feedback under a different name.” I look forward to picking this up and checking it out!! Has anyone read it before you knew it was JK Rowling?
Never heard of it before. She's right about people's expectations of her work, though.ReplyDelete
It's not a fantasy book.ReplyDelete
Why won't she return to fantasy? GAH!
Blogger won't let me reply to comments today so I'll just reply here. I wish it was a fantasy book too. I just want her to do a new fantasy series!!! NOW!!!ReplyDelete
Wha?? Well done JK Rowling - I'm glad she's gotten some honest feedback on it! Not the kind of book I usually like to read though - like Lizzy says, return to some fantasy! Or at least YA!ReplyDelete
Hmmm... it sounds... okay. I don't think I'll read it though. And yes ,return to YA! Pretty please!ReplyDelete
I didn't read Casual Vacancy so I am not sure if I will read this one either. We'll have to see. So many books so little time.ReplyDelete
Isn't she sneaky! I'm keen to read this one. It sounds interesting.ReplyDelete
She is sneaky!!!Delete
I read it as an ARC! Loved the characters and setting but felt the plot dragged a bit. Overall I enjoyed it and gave it 3.5 stars. Such a surprise to see JK wrote it!ReplyDelete
I think it is sooo fun you read it already!Delete
