Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves.
This past two weeks I have been so sick with pneumonia. It was bad. So sick. Soooo I was a little behind on blogging and what not. But I am back. For those of you who have been patiently waiting for my new blog look it should be very soon now. I have seen it and posted a sneak peak on my instagram account (if you follow there). We are just working out the last kinks and then it should be up!! I am really really really hoping for this week.
On the blog:
-I attend the Denver Comic Con - 2014 and geekyness explodes!
-I participate in the Summer Library Challenge and chat about libraries.
-A New Comic Adventures this week... Issue #13 (Wonder Woman, Jack of Fables, Aquaman, Batman).
-I chat with all of you about Being sick and blogging: THE HORROR...seriously.. it's awful.
-I review Scarlet by Marissa Meyer- Review
- A new Project Disney- The Black Cauldron have you actually seen this movie? Most haven't even heard of this Disney film.
In the blogospere:
-I love this post about making an audiobook by Annie Jackson. I just think .. someone sits down at a mic and read the book. But there is so much more to it.
- The Pegster Reads has a great series on her blog right now about working at the Coroner's Office. I find this facinating. I love to learn about new things... especially jobs I am not familiar with.
- A wonderful post about depression ... perfect for this month since it is Mental Health Awareness month by Oh the Books.
- You guys! There is going to be a New Balance line of shoes based on authors!!!!!
Jimmy Fallon has been pretty funny on the Tonight Show... I have really loved him on there. This video is hilarious!

I am currently reading Cress by Marissa Meyer. I am really enjoying it. I didn't pick up anything from the library this week. I was actually supposed to be on vacation visiting my parents and then got sick so I stayed home. So my account was on a vacation hold. Next week I am sure I will have loads to pick up.
Hope you're feeling better! Great post on the comic con, love to see pictures of the floor. When I go to cons I always enjoy the dealer hall, and spend way too much time there (and $ too!).ReplyDelete
That video of Jimmy on the coaster is hilarious- had to laugh at the bug moment! He looked like he was about to lose it there towards the end... :)
Hope you are feeling better. I still have a little cough I am dealing with it from my bout. Don't over do itReplyDelete
Gosh, pneumonia. I'm hope you'll fully recover soon. I've been meaning to read the Lunar Chronicles but with so much review schedule lately, I haven't really read my copy of Cinder yet. Thanks for dropping by my blogs. Have a happy weekend. And can't wait to see your new blog look soon.ReplyDelete
Thank you! I am actually feeling a lot better then last week. I still have a cough and what not but I can sleep through the night and that is all I care about.ReplyDelete
The con floors are the best. I could spend hours wondering around it. Just amazed by all I see.
The BUG in that video is so damn funny. At first I thought.. yea right bug. But then they show it in slow motion, I about died!!!
I read that the stupid cough is supposed to last at least a month after you actually get over pneumonia. Stuff of nightmares!ReplyDelete
Cress has been fun. Hoping to read a huge chunk of it tomorrow. Do laundry (now that I am feeling better I am washing everything) and read all day.ReplyDelete
Lunar Chronicles are worth pushing up your list. I did push mine up and I was so happy I did. I really do hope the blog design is soon. I have been waiting like 2 months for the whole thing to come together and finish. I am hoping we get the final approval this weekend and she can start coding it.ReplyDelete
It's good that you can have a whole night's sleep again, it will you help recover faster. The video is hilarious, yes, and the bug !!! I 'd go crazy if I went on that roller-coaster. Have a better week, take care :)ReplyDelete
Eeks! Hope you will be fully recovered soon! Looking forward to the new blog design. :)ReplyDelete
I hope you're feeling better!ReplyDelete
Loved that Jimmy Fallon video - he's one of my favorite people in the world and I loved watching those Florida videos. The Harry Potter ones were especially hilarious :)
Have a good week!
So glad to see you back and fully functioning :) I enjoyed your post about the Comic Con, even though I'm not a Comic fan, a do love conventions. Thanks so much for mentioning me - gives me a right boost today!ReplyDelete
Peggy @ The Pegster Reads
I do hope you are feeling better and get lots of rest!ReplyDelete
Can't wait to see your new design!
I am hoping to go to ComicCon in New York this year, my son has been asking to go, it might be to many people for him but we thought we would give it a try since he loves all that stuff (me too)
I need to read Cress just need to find time to squeeze it in...soon I hope
Have a great week Angela!
Glad to see you're coming out the other end of it. I had an appalling chest infection a few months back and it made my life miserable. Even reading was uncomfortable.ReplyDelete
Make sure you don't jump back into anything too quickly and take care.xx
Aw glad you're feeling better! Can't wait to see your new blog-do!ReplyDelete
I love Jimmy Fallon. I really need to watch the Tonight Show more often. Great video! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I really enjoyed your posts this week - especially the Disney project. It'd been so long since I'd thought about that movie it was nice to get a reminder. Have a great week!ReplyDelete
Hope you're feeling better! I've never gotten pneumonia and i hope I never do! Loving the hilarouis video of Kevin Hart and Jimmy Fallon on the roller coaster! It made my day!ReplyDelete
Hope you feel better soon, and I'm eager to see the roll out of the new look. Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.ReplyDelete
Thank you!! I was hoping to see something about the new blog look this weekend.. but haven't heard anything yet. :(ReplyDelete
I used to love roller coasters. But as I have become older they are awful and really just make me sick. That bug is so funny! I love the slow motion shot. Hilarious!ReplyDelete
I have to finished Cress before I pick my fav. Out of Cinder and Scarlet I like Cinder the best. Sometimes I just get so excited about the beginning of a journey. Like the Lord of the Rings. The first book, The Fellowship of the Ring is my favorite of the series. I love the beginning of the adventure.ReplyDelete
Yeah.. it sucks. But I am doing really well now. I feel seriously 100% better even though I still have a cough.ReplyDelete
Thanks! Fallon is super funny. I didn't watch him too often till he went onto the Tonight Show and then he was so hilarious I couldn't believe I had been missing him. So funny!ReplyDelete
I love your posts... so I was happy to mention you. Conventions are pretty fun. Though I have only been to Comic Cons. I have no idea what other ones would be like. My friend goes to the Scentsy one every year. And of course all the bloggers go to BEA. I think both those would be pretty fun.ReplyDelete
I thought I heard the Comic Con in NY was already sold out? At least I thought people were tweeting about it. It is a lot of people usually. Gets kind of awful in the lines but still fun if you can get past all that. I am reading Cress tonight right now while watching True Blood. I thought I would read late into the night but I am tired... so we'll see.ReplyDelete
Thank you for the advice. Was the chest infection pneumonia? I am still coughing so I don't know if that means that I still have an infection or what? I go to the Dr. on Tuesday so I am going to ask her then. I don't want to go backwards... so we'll see if I need antibiotics again or what.ReplyDelete
I can't wait to see it either. I just want to bother my blog designer everyday. Like "is it ready yet?" "is it ready yet" almost like a little kid on a car trip "are we there yet"? "are we there yet"?ReplyDelete
I have thought about DVRing the Tonight Show but those episodes always back up. I used to tape Conan because I really love him but like I said.. episodes kept backing up. I would usually only watch the beginning anyways.ReplyDelete
The Black Cauldron is a movie people forget about. Some don't even know it's a Disney movie!!
I have to be honest... I was pretty damned surprised that I got pneumonia! I don't know how I got it but I never thought I would have it. I mean.. just came out of no where. I didn't have a cold or anything. Just one day .. boom!ReplyDelete
I am glad everyone is loving that video. It is hilarious and fun to watch!ReplyDelete
I am loving Cress so far. I am only like 70 pages in but it really is fantastic. Such great writing if I love it soooo much only 70 pages in.ReplyDelete
Oh, boo on pneumonia. I've had it more times than I can count. I'm glad you're feeling better.ReplyDelete
I can't imagine having it more then once!! What a nightmare. I did hear there is a vaccine for it and I am going to talk to my dr about it this week.ReplyDelete
I hope you're feeling better! It's awesome that you got to go to Denver Comic Con! I wanted to go the Atlanta one but I totally forgot about it, lol.ReplyDelete
Yay! I'm so excited for the new look. I'm sure it'll be absolutely amazing!ReplyDelete
I am a fan of the Denver one on their facebook page so there was no way I could forget. They just kept reminding everyone like month's out!ReplyDelete
Me too!! Hurry Hurry!ReplyDelete
I am loving Cress soooo much!!ReplyDelete
I hope you're feeling better now Angela, I had pneumonia once and hated it.ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post
-Kimberly @ Turning the Pages
I'm excited to get starts on Marissa Meyer's books! How did you like Cress? Was it as good as everyone says it is!?ReplyDelete
It is so bad I considered getting the vaccine for it. I am going to talk to my Dr about it next time I go for a physical.ReplyDelete
