Follow Me Friday

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread   And now for this week's question....

Follow on Bloglovin

I haven't participated in a Follow Me Friday for a while now so I thought why not?

Q. What are your non-book guilty pleasures? Like TV shows, food, websites, hobbies, etc.

A. Well... I have a lot of things I am into.  Sports (NASCAR, Denver Broncos), I love TV, I love movies (I write up reviews here on the blog), I love video games (I review those on the blog too).  I really just love fun things.  I enjoy traveling.. I really do love road trips.  I enjoy the outdoors and just planted a garden.  I am so excited to see it grow.  What about you???  Anything fun you love to do?

  2. I didn't think I had anywhere to garden then I just built a box and plopped it down in the yard. Should be fun when things really start taking off!

  3. Hopping through. I aspire to likes gardening, but the plants keep committing suicide. I've told them multiple times that if they want to be watered consistently, all they have to do is turn on the hose themselves. But stupid green things - they refuse to take responsibility for their own survival.

  7. Are you growing veggies in your garden, or flowers or both? It looks really nice. I'm not much of a gardening person myself, but my hubby is awesome, so I still get fresh fruit, veggies and roses :)

Have a fantastic Friday, Angela :)

  9. Jessica @ a GREAT readJune 6, 2014 at 4:18 AM

Nice! Never been an outdoors person myself. Guess that's why I turned to reading! If I had nicer weather I'd find something to do. But it's either too hot or too cold or somewhere in between and that's likely going to cause a tornado, so to the basement I go!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

  10. I'm less of a gardener more of a 'wild jungle fixer-upper'. My only driving force towards getting it done (it's 126 feet long, but only 20 feet wide) is that at some point, I'll get a reading shed down the bottom.

  11. There's a much longer explanation on my blog, but for now I'm going to say that I play with my furbaby otherwise known as Benny. I found your site because I liked the title. Anxious is a word I'm familiar with.

I hope you have a great day and I'm a new follower via GFC and bloglovin.

  18. I hope the garden turns out great too. My dad said I should see plants in about 10 days so next week hopefully there will be some plants popping up. I am just hoping it doesn't hail before the plants get established!! I have a tarp just in case.

  19. That box is all vegetables. I have some flowers out in the front of my house. Today of course I noticed all kinds of black bugs on one of my trees. Aranaids or some such. So I had to spray the tree down with some sort of poison. Gardening can be tough.

  20. I just went to a NASCAR race recently in Kansas City and my favorite driver Jeff Gordon won!! It was the time of my life.

  21. There are a lot of people who don't like to be outside. It is so crazy to me. My mother is one of those people. Put her outside and she just runs for cover. Of course she does have fabulous skin because of this. She has always had it protected.

  22. What is it? You have a garden box that big??? A reading shed would be nice.. though I would be afraid that bugs would get in it. I don't mind being outside but bugs are not for me. I smash them to death!

  23. Anxious... oh yes. This blog was actually going to be a personal blog many many moons ago and branched off into something more fun. Instead of sitting around chatting about anxiety I moved onto a new topic... reading!! I'll be checking out your post.

  24. Well... since this is my first year trying to be a gardener we will see if it is going to work. Nothing has sprouted yet but my dad says it will take 10 days for the plants to start to come up. So everyday I eyeball the box looking for signs of life.

  27. Nice! I love to travel too though I don't do it nearly often enough these days. I love crafty things like cross stitching, puzzles, working on the house doing neat projects. Keeps me nice and busy :)

  28. I am always on Pinterest looking at crafts and never complete any. Yeah.. that's right. I just keep pinning and pinning and just avoiding actually doing the project. Maybe someday.

  32. Jessica @ a GREAT readJune 7, 2014 at 6:49 AM

I just don't care for outside because in St. Louis it's like hot a lot! We're getting heat now! Or else it's really cold. I don't mind the cold, but don't want to do any outdoor activities. Perhaps if I lived somewhere with better weather, I'd do more outdoors! Even just read! :)

  33. Wishing you a bountiful harvest, Angela!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah, and it's always sad when there are bugs you can't do anything else with but spray with poison.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think there is going to be a lifetime movie coming up that I want to see...but now I can't think of what it is. Petals on the Wind I think it what it is .. that one looks good.

  36. I hope your garden turns out amazing. I'm terrible with plants, I've tried but they usually don't last more than two weeks.

I'm a huge Hockey fan and I love the St Louis Blues. Sadly I don't have them to cheer for but I'm still following the cup games. Other than that my biggest hobby right now is Legos. I love the sets and it is fun to build stuff with my son.

    ReplyDelete
  37. LOL!!! This is hilarious.. but probably not to you.

    ReplyDelete
  38. How fun that you guys are into Legos!!! I have wanted to go see someone's house who has a bunch of Lego set ups. I have been patiently waiting for something to come out of the group. My dad said I should start seeing something this week. I am nervous about the pumpkins I planted so we'll see if they take off.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yep, I have all of the first series of Lego Batman sets. I can't leave them up, but I build them and my son plays with them. It is a lot of fun.

Good luck with the pumpkins. I want to plant those when I finally get a house. I can't wait to hear how they turn out.
