Sunday Post

Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere!    I link up my post to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Reader.
We got our tree up this week... I just love my white tree.  It's just fab! We put up lights outside too though I am a little nervous about seeing them go out.. why you ask??  Well... there is a squirrel around here who apparently likes to chew through lights.  At Halloween I had lights hung outside and noticed a strand went out.  They were older so I figured a bulb went out so the whole string went.  I go out to take them down and sure enough it was chewed through.. with light bulbs on the ground even!!  Evil squirrel.

On the Blog:
-I get back to doing a Waiting on Wednesday because there is finally a book about to come out that I can't wait for!   Fairest by Marissa Meyer
-I discuss a bad experience I had with an author and discuss Author behavoir...to read or not read their books?
-Finally... what you have all been waiting for, A New Project Disney- Fox and the Hound

Around the Blogospere:
-Cloudy Dreams takes the time to interview a homeless person.  Powerful.
-Pop Goes the Reader is a such an artistic book blog.  This month they are giving us some cute Christmas looks!
-Fun blogging event about the 12 days leading up to Christmas.  Should be fun to participate in hosted by Parajunkie.

Books Books Books:
This week I won DC Comics A Visual History from Shane Paul Walker blog.  Can't wait to get reading through it and check it out!

  5. I hope you have a wonderful week, Angela. I think I ended up commenting on all your posts this week. Of course, since it has been busy at work, they all got commented on today. But better late than never, right? Have a good week!

  6. Trees up, shoppings almost done i. Now I plan to relax and read and watch movies.
I enjoyed your article about Maggie and the Q&A. I've had a couple of awkward moments with authors but nothing really bad. Mostly it was misunderstanding over what each of us was wanting. I'd give her books a go. They are everywhere right now and I feel like I'm the only one not reading them. LOL

  8. I love to put up the tree too. Every ornament means something to me. I love to take them out and remember where and when I received them.

  11. I try to get my Christmas Shopping done as soon as possible. For one reason I can't stand visiting the post office when it is super busy. It just is awful. Maggie's books are quite popular, which is one of the reasons I thought to myself why would I let the Q&A bother me. I mean... when McDonald's messes up my order I keep going back for more right?? LOL!

  12. It's funny... the squirrel ate the orange lights but not the purple lights even though they were connected. Maybe it was the color or something. That squirrel was like "I hate orange" LOL!!!

  13. Aw, your poor lights! I hope the Christmas ones stay nice. :) my family doesn't usually put up a tree until closer to Christmas. We get a real one, and we love to have it up for as long as possible after Christmas so it's best to get it last minute.

Oh, that DC book looks AWESOME! Congrats.

A squirrel chewed through your cord? Oh, bad bad bad squirrel! Not to mention dangerous. I hope your Christmas lights survive!

  15. I would love to have a real tree. Going to maybe try to have one next year. I would love to have the smell in my house. I don't even know how much they cost! I think my friend got one for like $65. That is the only thing. Spending that much and throwing it away.

  19. Squirrels - they ate my jackolantern one year, and chewed through the plastic "window" on our (not at all) squirrel-proof bird feeder to get at the seeds. We had to replace it with glass. . . so the enterprising squirrels simply figured out several other ways to get around the so-called squirrel proofing. They are clever - but not so clever if he's chewing electrical wiring!

Have a lovely week, and enjoy your DC Comics history - it looks great!
