All new Harry Potter Covers revealed!
All the Harry Potter Book covers have been revealed. I like them.. of course I love the originals, but these are beautiful too. Kazu Kibuishi (the illustrator) says he really enjoyed the project but thinks he had an easier job then the original illustrator Grandpre's drawings. She had nothing to go on but the stories and he had so much more to use for inspiration. Now the back of the covers will be revealed, so for the Sorcerer's Stone is the only one we have seen. The spines also make a neat picture when put together. Enjoy! Keep a look out for the back covers.

I love the new covers because they're exactly how I envisioned the books but the old covers are still a little better :)
ReplyDeleteI like the old covers too.. I will always own both editions!
DeleteGorgeous. I love the illustrations. Definitely getting the set, I just wish they were in hardcover.
ReplyDeleteI know! I am surprised they aren't going to be in hardcover first.
DeleteIsn't it amazing?! I adore them, and the fact that the backs make a pic as well is so so cool! And box art? Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI know.. I can't wait to see all the back covers.
DeleteI love these! They kind of make me want to buy the books all over again, but I'm rather attached to the original covers, too.
ReplyDeleteI am going to buy both sets. I have the old covers in paperback, hardcover and ebook. What's another set??? :)
DeleteGreat series - my favourite could change daily, but right now I'll go with Prisoner of Azkaban. Nice work on the 2013 Reading challenge - 12 books away from being able to quote Livin' on a Prayer!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks!!!
DeleteI absolutely love these! Great moments taken from each and used for the covers :D Thank you so much for sharing! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteI love these too. I mean of course I love the originals but it's fun to have new ones too.
DeleteVery nice. But, I still like the older ones as well.
