Top Ten Books I'd Want to Frame as Pieces of Art

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is a rewind topic.  So I get to pick a topic that's been done before.  Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This is where we post our top ten based on bookish topics.  I don't always participate in TTT but this week I found and old topic that is right up my alley.  I love art, and seems like a fun topic to me, so here are some book covers that I would love to have in hanging in my house.

Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

  1. Wow, that cover for NOS4A2 is super creepy!

  2. That is the special edition copy. I love things spooky and I would totally hang this in the kitchen!!!

  3. Interesting list, especially because some are completely different from my tastes. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is the cover I would definitely want. I love how eerie it is. It's almost like a pop culture type of image. I feel like if I were to make a list, it would be really dramatic images.

Oooh nice idea!! Will have to use this idea next time around where we pick our own! There are lots of cover arts I'd want to frame--and have room for--in my room!!

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

  6. I hadn't see that NOS4A2 cover - it's way better than the regular edition. Also, that Alice cover is to die for.

  7. Yes to The Little Prince and Harry Potter. I would probably frame those covers. :)

  8. I like a certain art.... one time someone came in my house and looked around and was like "what's going on in here?". LOL.... I like whimsical art, but also spooky art. I don't like... well art like Thomas Kinkade!

  9. I thought it was a fun topic too. I wasn't going to participate this week and then I looked through the topics and that this one was neat especially since I love art.

  10. I know.. when I saw this topic I was totally in!!! I could've picked like 30 books!

  11. That Alice cover would be AMAZING in my house. AMAZING!!!

  12. Harry Potter covers are just cool and now nostalgic!

  13. Great picks! I wish I could get postcards of my favorite covers.

  14. Oh my god that Alice in Wonderland cover is so creepy! I really love these covers - The Little Prince has always been a personal favourite of mine, and The Wind Through the Keyhole cover is absolutely gorgeous

  15. Sometimes I find great postcards/blank note cards. I have an amazing set of note cards of older Cinderella art. I think they are fabulous!! I also have an really nice Erte note card set and I haven't used a single one yet!!

  16. The artwork inside the entire Wind Through the Keyhole book is beautiful. That is one thing I love about the Dark Tower book series is that there is art in each book. The other 7 book's art style isn't really my thing (different artist) but I still enjoy looking at it.

  17. Good choices!! I love that Alice cover!! Never seen that one before, but it's super cool and creepy. I'd gladly hang anything HP on my walls. The new covers are pretty too. And I've always loved that Ash cover!!

Thanks for stopping by My TTT

  18. What?! I didn't know that!! That's a huge reason why Clive Barker's Abarat series are so amazing (for me anyway). Too bad I'm a really big fraidy cat...I read Misery at midnight. At a camp. It was the worst idea I've ever had (although it did succeed in keeping me up so I could catch wayward campees, so I suppose on that front it was technically successful), and I don't know if I can ever hand Stephen King. Which makes me angry because I actually really liked the writing! Gah.

  19. I would have had so much fun with this one! I love the Alice cover. So wonderful and creepy. The Asunder one is also one of my absolute fav's. You know I'm a Potter girl. I actually have Potter art up on my wall - scenes from the movie in black and white framed. I think I would really have to add the Shatter Me series even though I haven't read it yet, I adore the covers. The Alice in Zombieland and Splintered covers would probably be on my list as well. I know there are so many more!

  20. The artist's name for the Alice cover is Camilla Rose Garcia. She actually did a series of book covers and I love them all. I love when I find classic books with a modern illustrated book cover.

  21. Splintered!! I forgot about that book. I haven't actually read it and I tried to have books that I have read before. But that book cover is amazing (both book 1 and 2). It makes me wonder what book 3 is going to look like!!

  22. Misery is actually one book I haven't read yet. It is one that looks a little freaky to me. Another King book I've avoided is IT. I don't even know if I could handle it!!

  23. Interesting collection! I so have a few I'd love to have as wall art. There are some incredible ones out there.

  24. Wow some really great choices there!! The first two are my favourite :)

Thanks for stopping by my Tuesday Teaser.

I have to agree with you on Clive Barker's art in the Abarat series! Great work, great series! I ♥ Mr. Barker!!

  26. ALL THE HARRY POTTERS.
And oh my gosh yes The Arrival. The cover and basically the whole book of course.
    Such a great list!

  27. OK.. now you guys have me realizing I need to read Abarat! Like NOW!

  28. I know... sometimes I look at book covers and honestly they are so beautiful I just pick them right up to read. I am a sucker for beautiful illustrated art. I have an entire board on Pinterest dedicated to art.

  29. The Arrival is an amazing book. I love that I made up my own story while reading it. I wish more people would read that book... it is an entirely new reading experience.

  30. Do it do it!! I can not express how deeply and madly in love I am with this series. And his artwork is just...you have to see it to believe it.

And I can at least attest to the fact that yes, Misery is absolutely more than a little freaky haha

  31. I love the covers of the Incarnate series! I have a stretched canvas print of HP in my home library. I blogged about here:

  33. Thanks for stopping my by TTT - and sorry for the late reply!

This a pretty interesting topic choice! I do love these covers though, especially that Alice, that's pretty stunning! I've never thought about framing art covers, but I have to agree. There are some AMAZING covers out there that deserve to be framed!

  34. I LOVE that you included 2 King novels! I adored The Wind Through... but still need to check out Dr Sleep

Great pick this week! You've picked some really great covers and I especially love Ash and Incarnate :)

  36. Thanks! I thought both of those particular covers were so neat. I love that Doctor Sleep is written in smoke!

  37. I love that cover of Ash. That is actually the UK cover. The American cover isn't even half as pretty.

  38. I agree these covers are amazing. My wife read the Fallen series by Lauren Kate and they had amazing covers. I have a nice list of my favorite comic single issues covers that I will blow up and frame if we ever move out of our apartment to a house. I want my office to have book and comic book covers framed on the walls.

Great post, sorry I haven't been buy in awhile. Trying to catch up on your posts.

  39. Oh that would be a good idea to frame comics! I always want to make all my posts about comics to be honest but I am afraid it will scare away all my non-comic book readers! LOL! I should have a blog just for comics and comic reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well you know I will read it. I love comics and I love your post about them. Lately I have been reading even more comics because I can get through them faster.
