Sunday Post
Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere! I link up my post to Sunday Post, Bought, Borrowed & Bagged, and Stacking the Shelves.
On the blog:
-I go and see Robocop 2014 on Valentine's Day and really enjoy myself!
-I finally do a Top Ten Tuesday post about why I love blogging and reading!
-I participate in Instalove 101 and tell you about the symptoms of Instalove! (Lots of fancy HTLM here folks ! )
-Issue # 5 of Comic Adventures is here. I talk about Batman and Robin, Red Lanterns, Marvel's Oz comics, good stuff this week.
Around the Blogospere:
-Plagiarizing hurts. Let's be honest. Effortlessly Reading talks about being Plagiarized.
-Speaking of Plagiarism, here is a good post by Nose Graze on how to report it and get it taken off the plagiarizer's site.
-On my other blog about my diabetic cats I talk about Merry's dental cleaning.. it was finally a success!
-We all want more followers... that is why we take the time to sit here and write out posts after post. Parajunkie has some great tips on getting more readers to stop by your blog.
-Harry Potter book covers as GIFs!
-What books you should read to your cats!
- I love this post.. about authors stalking bloggers on twitter. Snuggly Oranges puts it into words perfectly!
Internet:
Finally the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer has been released!
Books Books Books
This week from the library I received Unsouled by Shusterman. The third book in the series. I look forward to reading it. I also read Blogging for Dummies (which is different from the book I talked about last week... Blog Design for Dummies). Blogging for Dummies is really basic stuff. I mean BASIC! So I didn't really think it was that great of information... so if you have been blogging for a while skip reading it.

That preview is pretty good! I enjoy the Marvel Comic movies! Might have to see this one!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your upcoming read that you got! It's a new to me one!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thanks Jessica for stopping by!!!
ReplyDeletedid not know there was a blogging for dummies heh...interesting.
ReplyDeleteThere are actually a few Dummies books that have to do with blogging. I have been checking them all out from my library.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the informative links..and it seems like the educational books on blogging have all been duds. I want to see the remake of RoboCop too, glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteI find more information out on the internet about blogging then in books. I have tried so hard to just find a book that does like straight up html for blogging...so like how to underline a word in color. Or... hell this was a big one last week, how to add falling hearts to ONE blog post. All I could find anywhere was how to add them to the entire blog. It was a nightmare!!
ReplyDeleteWoot! Yay for the dental going well! Gah that can be so nerve wracking especially when you have a babe that already has a condition they're dealing with.
ReplyDeleteMerry had 9 teeth pulled! That is one thing about cats, they hide their pain. I had no idea so many were bad. His breath was stinking though so I knew it was time for a cleaning. He had to go in two different weeks. The first week he couldn't breath on his own under the anesthetic that was used.
ReplyDeleteIt kills me they do that. Baby G had hers done in Dec and lost ALL of her teeth but her canines. And she's only 5 :/ I couldn't believe. And she'd been acting like nothing was wrong. smh I really wish they'd let you know. Glad they were able to figure things out for Merry!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you feeding Baby G?? I have been giving Merry his dry diabetic food but putting water in it to make it softer.
ReplyDeleteNope, blogging for dummies isn't for me... especially for over an entire year of blogging, lol! Or maybe I could learn SOMETHING. O_o
ReplyDelete~Sophia @ Bookwyrming Thoughts
She's been doing well on a combo of Evo dry food and wet food which is their treat. After her surgery she was on full wet food but I free feed dry for the rest and she started eating it again with no problems. Really surprised me.
ReplyDeleteShe was a bottle baby from day one so has always been a little compromised and had some sort of absorptive issue with her teeth.
Hmm, now you have me wondering what Blogging or Dummies has to offer. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Unwind by Neal Shusterman, but I haven't gotten around to finishing the series! MUST get onto that! And gosh...I hadn't seen that Guardians of the Galaxy trailer yet. I admit I'm a tiny bit sceptical. But it has a racoon with a gun. That is awesome. My StS!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great week! Have a wonderful Sunday!!
ReplyDeleteHere is my post
I did wonder about the Dummie Book.. I mean technology changes so quickly as well. Since starting, I know how frustrating it is for me sometimes… HTML was nothing more than 4 random letters. And will bookmark your blogger help- so appreciated by a newbie here. Love all your links from Around The Blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday post is here
I will check out Blogging for Dummies if our library has that. I scheduled a blog break 3 weeks from now, I might squeeze that in.
ReplyDeleteHooray, I'm going to check out three of those other posts you linked. Haha doing all the hard work for us, thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove the article about books to read to your cats! :) I'll have to start a to-read list for my kitty-babies. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteAwesome trailer!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
Those books aren't bad to look through. I have found some tips... like using Firebug on Firefox. I had no idea about that. Of course I haven't really figured out how to use it just yet though.
ReplyDeleteSEO for Dummies just came into the library for me. I am really interested in that book. Hoping that will really teach me some lessons to get my posts higher up on google.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI loved Unwind too... the series was supposed to be 3 books but I guess now it's four. So I need to get the third read. Guardians of the Galaxy does have a raccoon!! I have the comic book here right now and should get started reading it today sometime.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are getting use out of the blogger help bar. I try to help others. I know it was such a nightmare to even hyperlink my blog name when I first started blogging.
ReplyDeleteReally they are helpful a little bit. Especially if you are new to blogging. I wish that there was just more ... I don't know... specific examples for us to use. But it was basic stuff like what should your blog posts include things like that.
ReplyDeleteI would check out all the blogging for dummies books. There are quite a few. I just picked up SEO for Dummies from that library. I'll talk about that one in next week's Sunday Post.
ReplyDeleteHa, I love the Symptoms of Insta-love. The HP book gifs are cool too! Thanks for sharing all the awesome links! Have an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteCyn @ Book Munchies (:
I love the Symptoms of Insta-love haha. And the HP book gifs are pretty cool too. Thanks for sharing all the awesome links. Have an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteThe trailer was so much fun. I can't wait to see the movie. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! Reading the comic right now! My review should be up this week.
ReplyDeleteI had not seen the Guardians trailer... that was interesting! They seem to be going for a quirky vibe with humor... I'm not sure how I feel about that, to be honest. May have to watch again! :)
ReplyDeleteRobocop sounds fun!
I think we all need that book at sometime! Hope it helps!!
ReplyDeleteThanx for
visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
I just read the comic a few minutes ago... I think the movie has a lot of potential. It will be all in space I think so that will be a good twist that a superhero movie isn't stuck on earth.
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteHARRY POTTER BOOK GIFS?! How did I miss that post?!? :)
ReplyDeleteMy Showcase Sunday :)
I know... of course I may have seen them before and just forgot about them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful recap of all the wonderful blog discussion, as usual. I will check them out. I love the Harry Potter gifs :) Have a great week (sorry my comment is late in the week)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!! The Potter GIFs are so cool!! I love them so much. I wish facebook allowed moveable GIFs because I would make one of those my profile picture.
