Sunday Post

Let's chat about what's going on this week... on my blog.. on other blogs... on the internet... and just everywhere!    I link up my post to Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves.

I had a little blog drama... well my template did anyways.  I had been having a lot of issues with it over the last year anyways.  Preview wasn't working, people couldn't comment on my blog from a mobile device,  a few more things that I just put up with.  But then this week the titles disappeared.  My blog title, post titles and the titles on the side bar.  I tried everything to get them to come back but the template was just so old (made in 2004) that I think it just didn't stay updated with bloggers new updates.  Right now I have up a temporary look.  I am hoping to have a new one made soon... looks like I have a designer lined up.  So excited you should see something new on here in June.

Love this tweet:

On the Blog:
-I review the SCARY video game Outlast.
-I do a Top Ten Tuesday all about my favorite board game Clue.
-I talk about having to have to get a new blog look.
- Clean Sweep ARC Challenge Kick Off  #CleanSweepARC has begun.  Have you joined up??
-There was a new Project Disney - Robin Hood this week.  Be sure to stop by and chat about it with me.
-I also review the book The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood by Howard Pyle ... ... pretty neat to see where Robin Hood's origins are.

Around the Blogospere:
-Are Online Book Clubs "Real" Book Clubs?  I love the article.  I run two book clubs on goodreads and have found so much joy in them. I can't find any in real life despite how much I have tried.
- Police were called for someone handing out a book for World Book Night.  So sad.  :(
- What format of book do you favor?  Really a well thought out post about the different types of books we read.
-The decline of Barnes and Nobles book clubs. I have been hearing a lot about this lately.
-My book clubs on goodreads are reading Desperation by Stephen King and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by

I thought something was different here today! Can't wait for your new look! Was watching some of the video. Pretty funny. Especially since I'm not a Twilight fan, it pretty much makes them look a little silly!

My STS will be up tomorrow so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT weekend!

Good luck with the new design....how freaky that everything can disappear!

I only have two blogger sites, but I have one of the newer templates. Time to check!

  15. I honestly kind of freaked when I saw your blog this week. I'm sorry it kind of puked on ya. May I suggest a move to Wordpress.org???? It's awesome over here (tee, hee) *insert maniacal laughter*

  16. I love the Twilight video! Too funny! The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood sounds really interesting. Will have to add it to my TBR! Have a great week and I hope your blog challenges get better! Sounds like a headache.

  17. Events slow down a bit for this replica wathces episode as it dabbles in relationships and overly sexual monsters having replica rolex fun with Fujiko.

  18. I'm not a huge Twilight fan either. I did think the video was funny though. I just love to see funny words put to lips that aren't actually saying what the words are saying.

  19. I love the NFL lip-sync videos. Those are REALLY funny.. even if you aren't into football.

  20. LOLOL! There is no shame in that. I really actually enjoyed the books. They made me feel like a teenager again. I will say though the 4th book was not that great.. it went WAY out there!

  21. I love to follow King on twitter. I have been having so much fun reading what he has to say. He even spoiled Game of Thrones a couple Sundays ago. It was crazy. I hope that a lot of people will read books for mental health month. I think it's really important for people to become more informed.

  22. I don't think I have seen the GoT video!! Ok... so I am going to check that out like right this second.

  23. I keep getting more and more excited about a new template. I wish I was getting it right now. I am not even going to bother to fix this one up since I am getting a new one anyways. I think cheerleading is good too. I think it helps with bloggers getting to know each other.

  24. I don't know why everything disappeared! It was so odd... there was nothing I did to cause this. But ... the template is really old... I switch to a new one and all my problems are out the door. Hope yours is OK!

  25. LOL! I do want to go to wordpress... but I want it to be FREE!!! I have had the same look for so long I think everyone was like WHA????????

Have you watched the video I've had on my blog for years? It's in the sidebar, it's called Buffy vs Edward. Basically combines clips of Buffy and Twilight and leaves their words as is, but kind of shows you how creepy Edward could be! It's funny and like my fave video ever!

  27. Looking forward to your new layout. Had a good laugh with the video. Some parts are really funny.

Sorry about your template (I was wondering what happened) :( I am excited to see your new design though :) So sad to hear about the police and the WBN person- I am always so scared someone will do that to me (I have been a giver for the past few years)

  29. Oops, I think my comment didn't save, try again.
So, I'm away for 1 week and everyone seems to have a new blog template - whether they wanted it or not :). Oh, I missed that King tweet. I find Twitter sometimes a bit overwhelming, too many tweets and I can never seem to find the tweets from the people I really want to see. Thank you for the link: Are Online Book Clubs 'Real' Book Clubs. I'm a bit of an introvert person, and the thought of a 'real life' book club, for example in a library, with 20 people sitting in a circle and having to say something - no, not for me. I know everyone is really friendly but still, not my thing. That's why I love the online community. And that reminds me that I should have a look in the SK Goodreads Club - wanted to do this for ages!
    Thank you for stopping by.

  30. Thanks for stopping by.. I am excited about my new layout too. Sometimes I am just obsessed with and love internet videos!! :)

  31. I know... how sad it is that the police were called. There will always be someone who wants a book banned. To call the police though because someone is handing them out for free is pretty terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love that some of the links I posted were read!! I have never actually participated in a real life book club. I feel like though if I didn't know the people before the book club it would be a bit awkward. I suppose that's why there is a book leader to help get the conversation going and on track. I think that most people are friendly in the King book club. I will say that every now and then we get a bad apple in the group but the moderators stay on that. We stay on it and try to keep good people in the group.

  33. I am about to totally check out that video!! Thanks for telling me about it.

  34. Bad lip reading! I love those, lol. I think my favorite might be the first NFL version, which was hilarious if you are a football fan.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes yes!!! I love the football ones too. I saw they actually took that idea and made a commercial out of it last year.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I saw that too! Some are kind of misses, but that video was spot on!
