This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread. And now for this week's question....
Q. Merry Christmas! What books did Santa stuff your stocking with this year? Do a holiday book haul. PICTURES!!
A. Well I didn't get a huge book haul like some people may get. But I did get a Yoga book and a pocket edition of the Hobbit that both my husband and I are going to share (hahah!!). I am also getting a new tablet with some money I received... I have the Nook Color but Barnes and Nobles isn't really updating that anymore. I think I am going to get Nexus 7, my mom got a new Nook HD but I am a little nervous about Nook since I don't know if they will keep the Nook going or not. I don't really feel like taking a picture... lazy OK! Sooo you will just have to imagine how cool that Hobbit book is.

ReplyDeleteI've seen that pocket edition of The Hobbit - it's a very nice one and so compact! :D Yeah, your reason for not getting a Nook HD is pretty much MY reason for not getting one. New GFC, Bloglovin and Twitter follower!

Yea... I just don't know about the Nook anymore. Which is sad because I love it and am used to using it.
DeleteEnjoy your read! :)

OH wow!! Thanks for joining up... I have a lot of fun on there myself and try to get people more involved each month. The more people who participate in the discussions the better the discussions are. Look forward to seeing you there!
DeleteYoga, nice :). I got a good haul this year (actually TOO much, and I feel spoiled lol! But so grateful at the same time). I hope your mom enjoys the Nook!!

My mom is loving it. We picked up the Nexus 7 for me today. I am trying it out. I kinda wish I had bought the Nook to keep the Nook market going. But really though I can at least still use the Nook app.
DeleteIt's great that you got The Hobbit. I've been wanting to read that book since the first movie came out.

Great book! I love it sooo much.
DeleteOkay. I solemnly swear that I am imagining how cool The Hobbit book is ... [pauses and imagines for a bit longer ... mmm ...]

LOL!!!!! Hilarious!
DeleteHeehee! That sounds kinda funny, but cool! I keep debating about updating my kindle. It's the original one with the keyboard. Mostly I think of going to the paperwhite so I can buy an e-graphic novel. But it's a thought in progress!

Truth is ... I have a hard time reading graphic novels on my ereader (Nook Color). I just think that the art just doesn't come through the same like it does on paper.
DeleteI still need to read the hobbit! But the pocket edition sounds super cute, I'm going to have to look out for it :0) Additionally I love your blog, it has a lovely colour theme.

Thank you!!! The pocket edition is really neat... it even had gold leaf edges on the pages.. it looks like a tiny bible actually.
DeleteThe Hobbit pocket edition? Is that like a really small condensed version? And laziness over the holidays - totally acceptable!

It is a small condensed version. Maybe I should've posted a picture afterall since everyone seems really interested in it.
DeleteThe Hobbit is on my list of books to buy ASAP. Let me know what you think about it!

I actually really enjoyed the hobbit. I should've mentioned above that I have read it many times. This is just another edition to add to my collection.
DeleteGreat haul, none the less! Happy Holidays and happy reading!

Yes I have!!! I loved it too... much better then the first movie I thought.
DeleteWow! A pocket edition of The Hobbit? That would be really cute. xD Have you already watched the two movies? If so, did you love it? I must say that though I enjoyed the book, I still prefer the film adaptations even if they're modified. Hahahah.

Thanks for sharing! Advance Happy New Year!

I loved the second movie ... the first movie I didn't love as much. I thought it got a little boring. I've read the book a few times. One time I loved it another time I loathed it. I think I just have to be in the mood for the Hobbit book!
