Follow Friday (#46)

This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread. We also gain new followers by joining each other's sites via GFC, so please let me know if you're a new follower. And now for this week's question....

Q.  What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

A.  Ughh.. Fifty Shades of Grey!!  I just couldn't get into it at all.  And yes I read the entire book.  My review if you are interested in reading it.  I mean the whole world seems to like that book but me!!  I really wanted to... all my friends just love it.  But I was like

And then there were two more books!!!!! WHAT!!!!!  I never went as far as to read the next two.  Yes I was a little curious where the books ended up... but I suppose not enough to go and read them.  What book do you think didn't live up to the hype???

As for Fifty Shades, in spite of what I'm hearing, I'm gonna read it just to know why there's so much hype around it!

    1. I really just don't know why people loved it. Though the author did admit that people who read it are not "readers"?? ? ?? ?

  7. I'm another person who refuses to read Fifty Shades, no matter how many people rave about it! Way back when, I was given a copy of The Bridges of Madison County and felt the same way. Couldn't get past the first page. *shudder*

    1. Yikes... I also hate being given a copy of a book from someone who claims it is the best book in the world!!! And then it's not.

  9. I haven't succumbed to the Fifty Shades hype -- of course, I don't usually read that kind of book anyway. Some day I'll probably give it a go, but I've see lists of books of that genre that are better, so I might go for one of those instead! Thanks for visiting!

  10. I am soooo with you on that book. I only read the first one because we sell it at the bookstore, and if I was going to bash it, I wanted to bash it based on actually reading it. And I'm still not a fan. Thanks for stopping by! Old follower.

    1. Yea... I don't love to say I wouldn't like something without trying it first. So I read the WHOLE book.... eh?? What can I say it wasn't even that shocking to me.
