Q. What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?
A. Ughh.. Fifty Shades of Grey!! I just couldn't get into it at all. And yes I read the entire book. My review if you are interested in reading it. I mean the whole world seems to like that book but me!! I really wanted to... all my friends just love it. But I was like
And then there were two more books!!!!! WHAT!!!!! I never went as far as to read the next two. Yes I was a little curious where the books ended up... but I suppose not enough to go and read them. What book do you think didn't live up to the hype???
Thanks for stopping by! I refuse to read the 50 shades books. The more they are shoved down my throat the more I refuse. lol

ReplyDeleteI have not read it nor am I going to. From what I have heard I am sure I am going to hate it.
Don't worry there are many people out there who don't like it.
I Talk Books!
Well... it isn't my cup of tea. But then again I don't like romance novels either soooo.....
DeleteI like that cartoon! Hahaha! :D
ReplyDeleteAs for Fifty Shades, in spite of what I'm hearing, I'm gonna read it just to know why there's so much hype around it!
Here's my F&FF post.

Read it... you at least can tell people exactly why you hate it... or love it????
DeleteFunny cartoon! My answer was 50 shades as well, but unlike you, I didn't read the whole thing. :D New Follower via GFC. Follow me back at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday!

I agree... it is so sad that THIS is the number 1 selling paperback.. of ALL time!!!
DeleteYou are not alone! I didn't read these either despite their hype. I was surprised to see my sister reading them but yeah. Every book is not meant for everyone!

I really just don't know why people loved it. Though the author did admit that people who read it are not "readers"?? ? ?? ?
DeleteI'm another person who refuses to read Fifty Shades, no matter how many people rave about it! Way back when, I was given a copy of The Bridges of Madison County and felt the same way. Couldn't get past the first page. *shudder*
ReplyDeleteYikes... I also hate being given a copy of a book from someone who claims it is the best book in the world!!! And then it's not.
DeleteYeah, after hearing so much about this, I am positive this book isn't for me.

There are some hilarious reviews on goodreads if you are interested in reading them!! Much better then my review and says why it is a stinker way better then I can!
DeleteI haven't succumbed to the Fifty Shades hype -- of course, I don't usually read that kind of book anyway. Some day I'll probably give it a go, but I've see lists of books of that genre that are better, so I might go for one of those instead! Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI don't typically read romances or erotica books myself... but sometimes curiosity gets the best of me!!
DeleteI am soooo with you on that book. I only read the first one because we sell it at the bookstore, and if I was going to bash it, I wanted to bash it based on actually reading it. And I'm still not a fan. Thanks for stopping by! Old follower.
ReplyDeleteYea... I don't love to say I wouldn't like something without trying it first. So I read the WHOLE book.... eh?? What can I say it wasn't even that shocking to me.
