Follow Me Friday

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread GFC will eventually go away (thanks Google) so Bloglovin is a great way to follow me!  And now for this week's question....

Q. Spring is in the air! Go outside and show us your favorite reading spot. If you don't go outside, where do you read that isn't inside your house?

A. Well...this one is hard as far as pictures go because I am not really prepared for this.  I didn't read the question till tonight and it's way too dark to take a picture of my porch.   I read a lot in lines.  I want in lines all the time for movie opening nights so I sit there for a few hours and waiting.  Sometimes I think I have become some sort of line professional.  I even camp out for movies (like Harry Potter/Batman).  Even when going to San Diego Comic Con there are constant lines .. so I thought I would include a picture of me reading in line!

What about you??

  1. I have never in my life camped out for a movie, but that's not to say I wouldn't... I just haven't met anyone that would do it with me. :(

New Bloglovin'/GFC follower. Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)

  2. I've read outside all over Australia, hehe. We went on a camping trip and gosh, how many weird logs and old picnic tables did I sit on with my books?! ah yes I'm also aware you're supposed to enjoy the fresh air or whatnot when you camp. But I read. XD

  3. You know... I like to camp out, but sometimes I just can't sleep. So I end up going home at night and leaving everyone else there! LOL!

  4. Hilarious! I too can just read anywhere. I like to be able to say.. yeah I read in that spot. Sometimes I wish I lived in a bigger city where I could sit in a fabulous city park and read there.

  5. Hopping through. I read a lot while I'm waiting too. Except, ironically, at BEA - where I usually go the entire conference without reading a word. :-)

  7. LOL! Well if the people I want in line were more talkative that would be perfect!!! But alas... they are not. So I turn to my friend the book!

  15. Wow, I never do lines for anything, lol. I'd rather do without or wait than do a line, in fact. But you make a great point, reading would make the time spent not wasted!

Bloglovin' follower wishing you a great weekend!

Comic Con?? You lucky gal! heehee! I read a lot in lines too and in waiting rooms, like doctor visits or appointments for something. They always seem to keep people waiting forever at my lady doc LOL!!!

    Happy Friday Angela xoxo

  17. By far, my favorite place to read is out on my porch!!! LOVE my lounge chair out there. We put in a ceiling fan, too, for when it gets too hot in FL summer and it's the best place ever. Many times, my dog will be at the foot of the chair, which forces me to scrunch up my knees, but it's worth it to cuddle a little with her. :D

  18. I'm so envious that you got to go to ComicCon! The closest thing to me is DragonCon, but I doubt I could tolerate the heat of Atlanta for it. Thanks for stopping by!

  19. I have been to Cali a few times. Love it there!

  20. It can be pretty fun. People bring couches, TVs, video games.. board games. It can be a neat experience, especially when everyone is excited for the same movie.

  21. Usually I can read through anything anymore. I have learned to just focus my mind.

  22. I love how original and honest this post was! I have never camped out for a movie before. Is it a fun experience to be out there with other fans? New bloglovin follower =)

  25. That's a great idea. I don't wait in too many lines myself, but if I did, I'd totally read! :D Have a great weekend! :D

  26. You get to go to such cool events! I'm a little jealous. :D And yes, Colorado is the BEST.

  27. I never really waited in lines until I got married. My husband is a freak about movies. Eventually it did brush off on me. Especially since we have an IMAX near by. Though sometimes I tell him that a certain movie isn't worth getting line 2 hours early and I am usually right.

  28. This is why I don't go anywhere without my big purse that can hold books! I mean.. everyone is always looking at me like it's some hobo bag but in reality it is for books!!!! :) Comic Con tickets go on sale tomorrow. Hoping to get tickets.

  29. I saw that you just moved back to FL. Lucky you. In TX a lot of people put up ceiling fans to help cool off the porch. It's funny you mention your dog doing that. Right now in my recliner my cat is at my feet so much legs are shoved off to the side!

  30. You should totally go to DragonCon!! Isn't it inside?? San Diego is pretty hot in July when the Comic Con is going on... but most of the time everyone is inside. Hall H is the only time you have to sit outside in a line and most of it is under tents.

  31. It is super fun to be out there with everyone. The last Harry Potter movie was my most favorite time ever!!! Everyone was dressed up and lookin good. People were singing, wands were being sold, lol! Great time!

  32. Lines are perfect to catch up on your books!

  37. Guess who got comic con tickets today?? This girl!!! LOL! Sold out in 1 1/2 hours!

  38. I too wish I would've camped out for more HP movies. I only did the one.

  39. Florida's home. I've lived in FL since I was 3, but only moved for a year and a half to travel with my husband's job. So we left our house and moved for a little bit, but now are back home! :D

Isn't it funny how we move like that for our pets?

  40. That's awesome, Angie! I read in lines, too. Or while waiting in the car to pick up kids. :) While digging around your blog, I saw pics of you at Tattered Cover. I live in Evergreen. :) So I'm so late in getting over to your blog. It's been one of those weeks.

  41. Oh how fun to find another Colorado Book Blogger!!! I am about to visit you back.. it has been one of those weeks for me too. I have company so I am way behind on the blogging and reading.
