Then you discover that you didn't bring your book bag in with you so you have to carry all these books to the check out. Luckily it's self check out. You walk over there with a huge stack of books in your arms.
Thinking... how I am going to read this in three weeks.. knowing another shipment you will be picking up in one week! Looking down into the pile you see a book you have been dying to read!
Now as you stand there checking out you are trying to decide... do you push that book in front of all the other books on your TBR pile (of library books of course). You then think to yourself... I know I can read all these. I am practically a professional reader........

Loving all the Supernatural GIFs - they're fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYup, happens ALL. THE. TIME.
ReplyDeleteNailed it!
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious. I need to go to the library more but I have too many TBR on my own bookshelf to do it :/
ReplyDeleteThis definitely describes my situation perfectly. Stopped by the library on Thursday and had five books waiting for me. :) I love my library to death, but sometimes this stresses me out since I have review books I need to read ASAP as well, so I may be taking a bit of a break from requesting books . :)
ReplyDeleteErin @ Let's Evaluate
Supernatural is so fun... I have been binge watching on Netflix!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel... a lot of time my owned books get pushed back because I get so many library books. I am like the opposite of you!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I need to email you.. I found out how to do a bar under your reading challenges!! I am not sure if you figured out how to do it.
ReplyDeleteI even try to not put a bunch of books on hold at the same time ... to stagger when they come in. Doesn't help.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny... that even though you are excited when a book comes in ... when several come in you are stressed out instead. So glad I am not the only one who feels this way. Right now I am trying to fly through the books I have before they are do back!
ReplyDeleteHah, fun post! Love all the gifts. It's so true sometimes though. You have all these wonderful books available at the same time! You can do it!! :)
ReplyDeleteLauren from www.shootingstarsmag.blogspot.com
I don't request to many books because I stress about reading them before their due. I do request a lot of movies and have had that week that I'm really busy and a ton come in. Trying to figure out if I sleep or cram in all these movies before my week is up is a challenge.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! It's so true. I had around 10 books checked out last week even though I knew there was no way I'd get to them all. :) It's always sad to take back books unread, though.
ReplyDelete"I'm Batman!" - Yes, we ARE. And yes, it happens to me a lot too. Esp. since I'm using two cards now (my own + Mom's) and with that I can borrow up to 16 books for a period of 30 days ;) Which is never long enough. BUT I can renew them twice, and/or reborrow them so most of the time I'm really fine. Insert...yep *internal screaming*
ReplyDeleteThis is why I never check out the Rapid View DVDs. You only get three days to watch those and I am like whoa whoa whoa!! My library does have a 3 day period after something is due where you don't have to pay but I TRY to not could those days!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! MORE BOOKS!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know... I am always sad too! Though if it's a popular book and I really think I won't be able to get to it in 3 weeks then I'll return it early so someone else can get started reading it, and then I'll put it on hold again so I am further up the list.
ReplyDeleteI can renew the books three times.. ONLY if no one else has them on hold. I had to return Fangirl once and then was like #40 on the list. It's in my hands now and I MUST READ it before it is due back this time around!
ReplyDeleteThis post made me laugh so much! I have this problem all the time. :)
ReplyDeleteNow my library has so many ebooks that are right at my fingertips right now!!! It's too much!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've gotten to the point where I intentionally leave a book bag behind so I CAN'T feel it up with books! This year is the first time in a long while I've had access to a decent public library, and I definitely went a bit crazy at first!
ReplyDeleteLOL! We have a pretty decent library here too. I always read blog posts where the library doesn't have a lot of books and there really isn't much money in the library system. 2 years ago the city actually voted for higher taxes for our library system so that was great news!!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so much truth.
ReplyDeleteOh yes.... I wish I had taken a picture of my pile from last week for this post. It would blow your mind!
ReplyDeleteI went to the library with a friend last week and I was scooping up tons of books. He was wide eyed the whole time and said 'I've got to take a picture of this. It's insane.' I just can't help it! It really is like being a kid in a candy store!
ReplyDeleteLOL! One time I thought about getting professional pictures done... guess where? The library~! I didn't end up doing it... but still!!
ReplyDeletehahaha..I love all of Sam and Dead gifs I love those Winchester boys! Yep, and it is some unwritten rule that all the books on your waiting list arrive at the same time!!
ReplyDeleteSam and Dean.. hot stuff!!
ReplyDeleteThe worst part is not being able to renew. UGH, the pressure. Keeps me a nimble reader though. :)
ReplyDeleteI love when all my books arrive at the same time! Especially now, it's hard for me to get to the library really often and ugh, I hate it when books come within two or three days of each other. I'm just like, great now I have to go back to the library. Once I get them though, I really don't worry too much about how I'm going to read all them. I'm DEFINITELY a pro at juggling books, I got it!
ReplyDeleteAnd btw, brownie points for using Jensen gifs. You're an awesome person.
I believe in you! You can totally do it! :D
ReplyDeleteI know!! I have to read fast! It makes me hurry and get more books read. So it is kind of an incentive.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOMG! This is like ANOTHER library problem. One book comes in and then you have to go all the way back. I try to even time mine so that they are all due back on Fridays.
ReplyDeleteAhahha not only can I relate to the library book hauls of doom, I LOVE the Supernatural gifs!
ReplyDeleteSupernatural!!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYes! Oh my word. I hate this. For the most part it's no problem 'cause I do eBooks and check them out as I need them but this happens to me with movies I get from the library and with a little girl at home - I know I can't watch all those movies but I still can't say no.
ReplyDeleteYes! And I pick them all up because I feel bad if they get pulled from the shelf. It's not far for me to request something and then not pick it up. This happened to me a few times with TV series but now that I have Netflix I don't have to check out TV series anymore.
ReplyDeleteTHIS.IS.PERFECT!! And then when you just go to "browse" the YA section and all of the books that you want to read are there so you're stuck with 40 books that you want to check out :(
ReplyDeleteYES! I didn't think about the books you don't have on hold. It is even worse if you start walking around the library and add even more to your pile!!
ReplyDeleteYour GIFs are amazing! And I so know the feeling! I can never shop and get just one book - that is just completely impossible.
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, it's nice that you're practically a professional reader as well, Angela :) I think that's another thing I love about the blogging community - we fangirl and get all excited about the awesome books we are able to get our hands on.
Happy reading :)

Aye Disqus tonight sucks. This is my second time responding to you!!! Fangirling is so fun... in fact right now I just finished Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. and totally get how the characters feel. This was nothing like the last comment I wrote .. but whatever!
ReplyDeleteYou've finally caved and joined discuss! Haha. When I first moved to AZ they had such a huge selection that I made my fiance use his card and we almost maxed out both of ours.... So, about 40 books (out of 50)! I haven't gotten as much, but you can renew up to 4 times so I'm not crazy... I swear!
ReplyDeleteThis post describes my life, ha. I put tons of books on hold and it's so overwhelming when they all come in at once!
ReplyDeletelol loving the Dean gifs. Dean is such a gift to the gif world LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen me back in December when I had to check out over 80 books from the library for working on my exams. That was two suitcase trips... full of books I don't want to read :/
When I switched to Disqus( after your post on commenting back), I noticed that my old replies to comments on my blog didn't transfer. Bummer. But, I still like it a lot better than the generic Blogger.
ReplyDeleteWow, seriously... a 100 book limit?! That is surprising. I was excited when my Overdrive e-library increased the checkout limit from 5 to 10!
OH no!! My comments did transfer over but they didn't thread. I read there was no way to fix it. So now when people go and read old posts the comments are all over the place. I do like Disqus better. I have noticed a lot more people coming back and replying to replies!! WOOT!
ReplyDeleteI know!! This doesn't happen often to me... but recently WHAM! So many books. I got through 2 in about a week so that was good. About to start my next one today.
ReplyDeleteI know right...I have this problem so much when I do go. It's like, "Ahhhhh why can't I read them all at the same time?!"

I have been trying to not request too many books at once. It's been going well actually!!
ReplyDeleteYou can always place it on hold next time haha
