Books Books Books

This week I didn't get anything from the library.  YEAH PARTY! If you wonder why I say this well read about when all the books come into the library at once.  I did get though  Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer from the lovely ladies at My Shelf Confessions.  I also won another book from their Wicked Readathon that I'll post about soon.  Thanks guys!  I am currently reading the Princess Bride for my bookclub so be on the lookout for that review to come.

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT readMarch 1, 2014 at 7:03 PM

Oh nice! Couldn't get into Cinder myself, but glad you won yourself a set of the books! And Oooh The Princess Bride! Loved that one! Granted I grew up on the movie and didn't read the book until middle school age likely. Then when we watched the movie in high school, I totally answered the question sheet before the movie even got started!

Pretty much the same thing again in college when it popped up in a course I took! Hope you're enjoying it and that you enjoy your new reads! Congrats on the wins too!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

  4. I am really enjoying the book so far. I am surprised though at how it's written. I didn't expect it at all and the introductions really confused me but once I started reading then I understood.

  18. Oh, Bloggiesta - must sign up! That 'Speed-reading app' was infringing, but TBH, I don't think it would work for me. One of my Uni lecturers, his wife was a literature professor and she had mastered speed reading. Can't exactly remember, but I think you scan only one half of the page (image were to draw a vertical line in the middle of the book page and scan only the right hand side of that page). No, I think I would like to enjoy the walk and not just the final destination (meaning the finish).
Have a great week and Happy Reading!

  29. I love the old school McDonald Disney toys. They were always sooo fun. I remember my sister and I would fight over the Oliver and Company ones.

  30. I have to agree. I too prefer to just read a book at my pace. I think this is why I don't really like audio books either. I want to hear the book in my voice and read it at my pace.

It did blow my mind though that people might actually use this app!

  31. I have seen a few people starting Cress this week.. hopefully that will be me soon!

  35. The color post is really interesting. I didn't really have to worry much about the colors in this template since it was already made. But I have visited a few blogs where I was like what is going on????
